A prestigious award for sustainable Pirelli

In June of this year, in New York, the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) assigned the prestigious 2013 Social Responsibility Award to Pirelli Chairman Marco Tronchetti Provera for his ever increasing commitment to the field of sustainability. Indeed, under his guidance, one of the world’s greatest tyre manufacturers has become a leader in corporate social responsibility. The commitment to long-term value creation means that Pirelli has been listed on some of the world’s leading sustainability indexes for many years. Furthermore, many socially responsible investors, both European and non-European, hold sizeable stakes in Pirelli in their portfolios. Pirelli’s Green Performance Strategy focuses strongly on environmentally-friendly, safe and innovative processes and products.
