Cinturato™ CN12 revamped for Lamborghini Miura

The news is bound to be well received by classic car collectors and enthusiasts who are always on the lookout for the original features that have characterised the most stylish models of previous decades. Pirelli has reproduced the Cinturato™ CN12, the original tyre of the legendary Lamborghini Miura P400, currently one of the most sought-after collector’s vehicles. Manufactured from the second half of the 60s until the early 70s, the Lamborghini Miura P400 was the first road sports car to feature the mid-engine layout employed by racing vehicles of the time such as the Ford GT40 or Ferrari 250 LM. The Miura started a trend, introducing a period in which many grand touring vehicles would feature a rear engine. Pirelli’s new version of the Cinturato™ CN12 is faithful to the original design, heavily grooved with closely-spaced tread blocks in order to ensure sufficient rigidity to match required vehicle performance. It also maintains the same profile, whilst the latest-generation materials feature HAOF compounds. The new version for Lamborghini complements those already produced for Countach and Diablo with P Zero Asimmetrico.
