EU Antitrust grants Approval to Pirelli-Telecom Deal.

Milan, September 20th, 2001 - Having today received authorisation from the EU Commission to the acquisition of Olivetti shares by Olimpia SpA, we inform you that the main guidelines of the industrial and financial plan of the Olivetti-Telecom Group - prepared by Top Management during the elaboration of the strategic plan - will be outlined to the financial community and to the press on Thursday, September 27th at 17.30 at the Assolombarda Auditorium in Milan, following the Boards of Directors of the involved Companies.
The detailed strategic plan of the Olivetti-Telecom Group will be completed by the end of the year and presented to the financial community.
