Antonio Cairoli claimed both motos in the MXGP class ahead of his teammate Jeffrey Herlings. The nine-time world champion and the Dutch rider lead the championship standings on equal points. There was a good performance also by Romain Febvre who finished fourth but tied on points for the last podium spot. Gautier Paulin and Tim Gajserfinished in fifth and sixth place overall.

In the MX2 class Pauls Jonass continues to be the benchmark for speed and results. The reigning champion won both races and heads the championship standings with a thirty point advantage over Thomas Kjer Olsen, who was third overall at Redsand. Jorge Prado was very fast at his home race and occupied the second step of the podium. Fifth overall was Australian Hunter Lawrence.

In two weeks time riders will tackle the 'Grand Prix of Trentino' which will be hosted by the spectacular ‘Ciclamino' circuit of Arco di Trento, Italy.

Antonio Cairoli, after an excellent start, controlled the MX1 race, winning with ease. The nine times World Champion was the fastest at the start of the Supercampione class and during the race defended his lead from the attacks of Max Anstie and Romain Febvre. The Englishman is close behind Cairoli in both standings. There were also good performance by Jeremy Van Horebeek, third in MX1, and Romain Febvre, third in the Supercampione.  

The new LV114 team opened their 2018 account in promising form. The Honda squad led by former female motocross World Champion Livia Lancelot celebrated MX2 victory thanks to Australian Hunter Lawrence. The reigning champion of the MX2 class, Pauls Jonass, was also very fast and finished in second place despite a fall that slowed him down on the first lap. Calvin Vlaanderen classified third ahead of Alvin Ostlund.

In front of over fifty thousand fans, thirty-eight Nations took part in the most important event of the international season: the ‘Motocross of the Nations’, which was hosted again on the scenic Matterley Basin circuit after eleven years. Around fifty per cent of the one hundred-fourteen rider entry list was equipped by Pirelli tyres.

On slippery and muddy soil after the rain of the previous days and across the racing weekend all Pirelli riders opted for the SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front tyre to fight any traction issues. For rear rubber each rider went with their choice even though the MXoN was the stage for the new SCORPION MX™ Soft tyre, which also on this occasion showed a great level of performance and was the first choice for Max Anstie, winner of Race 1 and 3, Jeffrey Herlings, winner of Race 2, and also by Gautier Paulin, Christophe Charlier and Romain Febvre, winners of the Nations Trophy with the French team.

Success in each individual class ended a memorable day for Pirelli: Max Anstie triumphing in MXGP, Hunter Lawrence in MX2 and Jeffrey Herlings in MX Open, ending another strong meeting for the brand.

The final podium ceremony of the year at the Motocross of the Nations brought the 2017 season to a close. Another success for Pirelli in the last round of the FIM Motocross World Championship. After Antonio Cairoli's MXGP title, the famous tyre brand completed the ‘set’ in 2017 with Pauls Jonass' MX2 crown. On the tough and technical course of Villars sous Ecot, a hard-pack track that became slippery due to frequent rain showers, the new development rear SCORPION™ MX Softdemonstrated a range of usage beyond expectations and proved to be competitive even in extreme muddy conditions.

SCORPION™ MX Soft rear with SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front allowed Pirelli to place their riders in the top five positions of the opening MXGP race. In the second moto with a drying track (until rain arrived again in the last five minutes) Jeffrey Herlings and Max Anstie - first and third in the overall classification respectively - preferred the SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft rear. Tim Gajser, who in race one relied on the SCORPION MX™ Soft rear and in race two on the SCORPION™ MX Mud, tied on points with Herlings but had to settle for second place due to the second moto ranking. France saw good performances also by Romain Febvre in fourth, Gautier Paulin in fifth and Kevin Strijboswas sixth.

Pirelli also won in MX2 thanks to Thomas Covington. First and second in the two races, the American grabbed overall spoils in front of Hunter Lawrence; the victor of the final sprint of the season. Pauls Jonass confirmed the 2017 title in the first race. After falling in the second corner after the start, the Latvian recovered many positions thanks to the SCORPION MX™ Soft rear tyre that allowed him to recover from last to fifth position. Jeremy Seewer, the only rider still able to defy Jonass, failed to cause an upset and finished the GP in fourth place, right in front of the Latvian.

The Grand Prix of the Pays de Montbeliard closed another triumphant season for Pirelli; now with sixty-eight world titles in motocross. In two weeks time Matterley Basin's ‘Motocross of Nations’, in England, will close the 2017 season.

It all concluded yesterday. The TT Circuit Assen was the stage for Antonio Cairoli, riding his Pirelli-shod KTM, to rule the FIM Motocross World Championship for the ninth time.
Thanks to the performance of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, Pirelli has achieved its 68^th World Title in this discipline, confirming itself as the most successful tyre brand in the history of motocross.

Antonio Cairoli closed the title speech in the MXGP class one round before the end of the Championship to crown a season practically perfect. After two seasons marked by some injuries, Cairoli centered on the ninth title of his incredible career that has seen him at the top of world rankings for fifteen years.

This season the World Champion - who with nine titles can now aim to match the record of ten held by Belgian Stefan Everts - has shown impressive consistency by winning six GPs so far and finishing as runner-up in another four GPs. As in recent years, the 31 year old Sicilian from Patti was able to count on the unmatched performance of Pirelli's SCORPION ™ MX tyres. In particular the SCORPION ™ MX32 ™ Mid Soft front and SCORPION ™ MX32 ™ Mid Soft rear, which has been the most frequently used selection by Cairoli and the other Pirelli equipped riders in the MXGP and MX2 classes.

At the end of the weekend Antonio Cairoli wanted to thank Pirelli, declaring: “After two unlucky seasons, going back to winning the world title is something fantastic that we have achieved with the will and the work of the whole team and our technical partners. That's why I want to thank Pirelli”.

The Grand Prix of the Netherlands, the penultimate test of the FIM Motocross World Championship, took place in the circuit drawn in the famous TT Circuit of Assen, the temple of speed. On the Dutch track, featuring sandy terrain made particularly wet and challenging by falling rain on Saturday, the SCORPION MX ™ 32 ™ Mid Soft front and the SCORPION ™ MX32 ™ Soft rear have once again proved to be the best performing tires on these conditions, allowing Pirelli to fill the podiums of both categories.

With a double moto haul Jeffrey Herlings won in MXGP, ahead of Romain Febvre (fourth and third) and Max Anstie (third and fourth). Cairoli classified second and sixth place in the two races.

In the MX2, with only one GP left until the end of the championship, Pauls Jonass (first and seventh at Assen) gained another point on Jeremy Seewer (fifth and second) and now has a forty-one point advantage; the GP went to Spain's Jorge Prado with second and first positions in the motos.

In seven days time the riders will reconvene for the Grand Prix of Pays de Montebeliard in France, the closing chapter of the 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship.

The ninth round of the MOTUL FIM World Superbike Championship has also been filed away. The undisputed protagonist of the weekend at the German EuroSpeedWay Lausitz circuit was undoubtedly Ducati rider Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) who, winning both Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday, brought home to Borgo Panigale a splendid brace, bringing his total number of wins this season to six.

In Race 2, the Welsh Ducati rider finished ahead of current Championship leader Jonathan Rea and teammate Marco Melandri. Despite two second place finished this weekend, the defending World Champion from the Akashi-based manufacturer has an advantage of more than 105 points over Davies and has therefore limited the damage.
 
The races in the other categories also went well: in WorldSSP, winning with the team Kallio racing Yamaha was South African Sheridan Morais, while in the Supersport 300 World Championship it was Italian Alfonso Coppola who triumphed astride his team SK Racing Yamaha YZF-R3. Lastly, the win went to Michael Ruben Rinaldi in the European FIM Superstock 1000 Cup.
 
The Pirelli results were also outstanding. Over the course of the weekend, the brand with the long "P" gave the riders the means to break various track records. In fact, today Chaz Davies set the new race fast lap record with a time of 1’36.634.
For the German round, the most used solutions were the medium compound tyres, both on the front and on the rear. In particular, in the WorldSBK class, the protagonist of the weekend on the rear was the W0051 SC1 development solution that was used by almost all the riders in both races.


In Race 2, Kawasaki riders Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes also decided to fall in line with the rest of the riders on the grid, putting a medium compound tyre on the rear. It was a good start for Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) from the first spot on the grid, with Xavi Forés (BARNI Racing Team) falling in behind him. In the meantime, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) went from the eighth spot on the grid to third position in just a few turns, while Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) was fifth at the end of the first lap.
The Northern Irish Kawasaki rider was unstoppable and at the start of the second lap he moved up behind race leader, Marco Melandri. In the meantime, Davies moved into fourth.
The Ducati riding Italian tried to set the race pace, but Rea would not let him get away at the front, tailing him closely at just a two tenths gap.
During the third lap, the number 7 rider managed to get past the Spaniard on the satellite Ducati, thereby moving into third place and beginning to chase down the leading pair. In the fifth lap Rea overtook Melandri, making the Kawasaki rider the new race leader.
During the eighth lap, Race 1 winner Chaz Davies overtook his teammate, moving into place behind Rea.
Rea, Davies and Melandri made up a trio within a half a second of one another, with the other Kawasaki rider, Tom Sykes, having difficulty and stuck in sixth place.
During the eleventh lap, Davies made his decisive attack on Rea to take the race lead. In the meantime, Sykes managed to move into fourth place, but the gap that had accumulated behind the leading group was almost twelve seconds.
On the nineteenth lap the white flag with a red cross came out because a few drops of rain had begun to fall on the German track in sector 4.
This did not compromise Chaz Davies' race as he went on to finish first with an advantage of more than two seconds over the reigning World Champion and more than four seconds ahead of Marco Melandri, third under the chequered flag.

Opening up the events on Sunday was the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship which started at 11:30 AM local time. With an asphalt temperature of 35°C, almost all the riders opted for the medium compound solution on the rear. In pole position was Sheridan Morais on his team Kallio Racing Yamaha. The South African got off the line well and managed to hold onto the race lead ahead of Italian rider Federico Caricasulo (GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP team) and Frenchman Jules Cluzel (CIA Landford Insurance Honda). During the seventh lap, Frenchman Lucas Mahias (GRT Yamaha Official WorldSSP team), who had started from the fifth spot on the grid, managed to overtake his compatriot to move into third position behind his teammate. However, on the ninth lap, the number 144 Yamaha rider went long on a corner and lost two positions to Cluzel and Sofuoglu.
With just a few laps to go, Cluzel lost his position to Turkish rider Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing). During the eighteenth lap, the fate of the race was decided: Kenan Sofuoglu managed to get the better of Sheridan Morais to move into the lead, but in the meantime, Federico Caricasulo crashed out, taking with him his teammate Mahias who had been right behind him. Race Direction was forced to red-flag the event, deciding the end of the race and, in accordance with the regulations, the positions from the previous lap (the sixteenth) were validated. Sheridan Morais was declared race winner ahead of Kenan Sofuoglu and French Yamaha rider Lucas Mahiaswho, despite the crash, still managed to reach pit lane astride his bike, therefore earning third place, unlike an unlucky Federico Caricasulo. Thanks to this third place finish, Lucas Mahias is able to hold onto first place in the overall standings with 121 points, but Turkish rider Kenan Sofuoglu is now just one point behind and this situation promises a very thrilling Championship finale for all the fans.

The third race of the day was the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship. Winning the race was Alfonso Coppola (SK Racing) astride his Yamaha ahead of Spaniards Marc García (Halcourier Racing) and Mika Pérez (WILSport Racedays). Thanks to this third place finish, Pérez is now the new leader in the Rider Standings with a two-point advantage over Scott Deroue (MTM HS Kawasaki), three ahead of his compatriot García and four over today's winner, Alfonso Coppola.

Closing out the race weekend were the protagonists of the FIM Superstock1000 European Championship, dominated once again by the Ducati riders. Until the penultimate lap, it was Federico Sandi on his Berclaz Racing Team BMW S 1000 RR who dominated the race, but just a few turns from the end, the Italian rider went long on a corner, sliding back to fifth place. Exploiting on the mistake was the leader in the overall standings, Michael Ruben Rinaldi who rode his Aruba.it Racing - Junior Team Ducati Panigale R to his third win of the season, increasing his Championship lead. The Italian finished ahead of teammate Mike Jones and Roberto Tamburini (PATA Yamaha Official STK 1000 Team).

In Race 2 of WorldSBK, rider choices for the rear were unanimous, with all the riders opting for the W0051 SC1 development solution (option B) which had already been used by almost all the riders in Race 1.
On the front, there were not many changes with respect to Race 1. The V0952 SC1 development solution (option C) was still the most used and, compared to Race 1, popularity went up, with fifteen riders using it in Race 2.

In the WorldSSP the most popular tyre on the rear was also the medium compound option, namely the V1201 SC1 development solution (option B) which was chosen by no less than twenty-nine of the thirty-two riders on the grid.
For the front, the riders just about split their preferences between the standard SC1 (option A) and the W0378 SC1 development solution (option B).

Jeremy Seewer performed fantastically in MX2 to finish second overall. The Swiss rider - with great speed prompted by his home crowd - dominated qualification and the first race. Unfortunately, a fall on the first lap of the second moto forced Seewer into a tough flight of recovery that brought him from last to fifth place but denied the Suzuki man the joy of overall victory. Pauls Jonass finished third and holds first position in the championship with 49 points over Seewer. There was a good performance also by Thomas Covington in fourth and Jorge Pradoin fifth.

After a three year absence, the Grand Prix of Portugal at Agueda returned to the FIM Motocros World Championship calendar for what was the twelfth round of nineteen this season. To tackle the medium-hard bumpy soil of the track Pirelli’s riders were armed with the SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front and rear to dominate both MXGP and MX2 classes.

Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings both owned a race but overall victory belonged to the eight-time world champion thanks to his win in the second moto. Cairoli, with an eighty-second win of a remarkable career, increased his lead in the championship even further and the gap now stands at 91 points. Jeffrey Herlings, winner of race one, had to settle for second place. Arminas Jasikonis performed superbly and, thanks to third place, gave Suzuki their first podium result this term. Romain Febvre had a good day with fourth and Max Nagl was fifth in front of the reigning MXGP champion Tim Gajser.

In MX2 Jeremy Seewer and Pauls Jonass also finished the two races with the same points tally but the Swiss rider was superior in the second sprint. Seewer, despite not enjoying ideal starts, made a great comeback for his second overall win in a row while Pauls Jonass, as runner-up, kept the Red Plate with an unchanged points advantage over Seewer. Thomas Covington confirmed his current good form with the third step of the podium and a repeat ranking from Ottobiano last week. Thomas Kjer Olsenrode well for fourth overall and stays third in the championship.

Pirelli also shone in the seventh round of the European EMX250 thanks to Simone Furlotti's second place: the Italian is back on the top spot of the championship standings. On July 22-23 the riders will reconvene for the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic at Loket.

Tricky and challenging terrain lay in store for the ninth round of the FIM MXGP World Championship at Ernee for the Grand Prix of France. The French circuit is chiselled from medium-hard soil that became slippery due to rain falling on Sunday morning. Deep ruts and poor grip conditions determined choice for the SCORPION™  MX32™ MID SOFT front and rear, the most widely used Pirelli’s selection in the championship and permitted to riders to achieve great results in all classes.

Antonio Cairoli was runner-up in MXGP. The eight-times world champion did not take any unnecessary risks across a difficult surface and with second place left Ernèe with a 50 point lead over Gautier Paulin. The French rider, galvanized by his home crowd, gave his best and thanks to the third spot overall has moved up to second position in the championship. Max Nagl obtained his first race win and finished the GP in fourth. A good performance was posted by Jeremy Van Horebeek in fifth, while Tim Gajserwas not able to compete due to the pain of the left shoulder that he injured in Germany the previous weekend.

Pauls Jonass celebrated his fourth overall victory in the MX2 class. The Latvian comprehensively owned the first race and avoided mistakes to finish second later on. Jeremy Seewer was third overall and continues to hold second place in the championship. Hunter Lawrence confirmed his good form by getting fourth in front of Julien Lieber.

A great weekend for Pirelli also in European Championship EMX250 thanks to Team Assomotor first (Mathys Boisrame) and third place (Alberto Forato), and Jago Geerts's second place. Pirelli grabbed the top spot in EMX125 with Kevin Horgmo. In two weeks time the riders will line up for the Grand Prix of Russia that will be held in Orlyonok; the track located near the shores of the Black Sea and which will host the MXGP for the first time.

Pirelli has decided to renew the partnership with Youthstream, the organizer of the FIM Motocross World Championship, in order to confirm its role as an Official Tyre Supplier of the most important international series for off-road motorcycles, until the end of the 2019 season.

Pirelli’s commitment and success in the FIM Motocross World Championship is renowned and the Milanese brand is the only tyre manufacturer able to boast a Hall of Fame of 66 World titles (since 1980) in this Championship, thanks to the performances of SCORPION™ MX32™, definitely one of its most successful tyres.

Taking a close look, we can reasonably state that the history of the Motocross Champions of the last 40 years has been and continues to be a Pirelli prerogative, winning numerous titles with the most important representatives of such discipline. Most noticeably 7 World Championships with Belgian legend Stefan Everts, 5 with the Italian Antonio Cairoli, 9 (3 each) with the Belgian riders André Malherbe, Eric Geboers and Jöel Smets and 3 more titles won with British rider David Thorpe. The most recent 3 titles were conquered with the Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings and twice with the Slovenian Tim Gajser, just to name some of the riders that over the years have decided to rely on Pirelli and with the Italian tyre manufacturer, have won their titles.

Besides the relationships with the riders, the collaborative relations that Pirelli has managed to establish with the motorcycle manufacturers has been crucial as well. As many as 18 World titles won with KTM, 16 with Yamaha and another 16 with Honda, besides the 10 with Suzuki, the 3 with Husaberg and the 2 with Cagiva, demonstrate the ability of the Italian company to produce tyres for any manufacturer. In particular, since 2008 until today, Pirelli has won as many as 14 World titles with the manufacturer from Mattighofen: five consecutive titles with Antonio Cairoli in MX1 and three with Jeffrey Herlings in MX2, besides the ones won with Ken Roczen, Marvin Musquin and Jordi Tixier.

To get an idea of the effort and of the consistent work carried out by Pirelli, 7000 tyres were brought to the grand prix season, 1700 of which were actually used, in addition to 1200 mousses. From the beginning of the 2017 season, the Pirelli riders have already won 23 out of 24 races between MXGP and MX2!  In the MXGP class, currently led by Tim Gajser, the first five riders in the ranking are equipped with Pirelli tyres, in MX2, the first four riders are using Pirelli tyres, including the series leader Pauls Jonass.

In the MXGP class the first rider not equipped with Pirelli tyres is currently in sixth, with a gap of 62 points to the leader and in MX2 the first rider who is not using Pirelli tyres is currently in the fifth ranking position with a gap of 69 points from the championship’s leader.

Bad weather has severely affected the second round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, the "Grand Prix of Indonesia". The heavy rains that hit the Pingkal Pinang area have led to the cancellation of timed practices and qualifying races on Saturday, and the second MXGP race. Good performance for Pirelli’s riders that, in the deep mud that has characterized the circuit, have entrusted to SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front and rear, the tyres chosen by most of the starters in both classes.

In MXGP class Glenn Coldenhoff has finished runner up of the GP in the only race disputed while Antonio Cairoli finished fourth. The Sicilian Champion did well not making any mistake in a very challenging track and has kept the top spot of the championship. Good races also for Kevin Strijbos, sixth, and Tim Gajser, seventh, which has maintained the third place in the championship.

Pirelli has dominated the MX2 class with three riders on the podium. First GP win for Jeremy Seewer in front of Samuele Bernardini. The Italian won the second race which was closed prematurely from the red flag due to the prohibitive conditions of the track. The private rider Julien Lieber, third overall in front of Thomas Kjer Olsen, is leading the championship standing.

Third round of the FIM Motocross World Championship that has made stops in Valkenswaard for the Grand Prix of Europe. The Dutch track is characterized by a sandy soil that, due to the rain showers that have lashed the area during the day, was very slimy and slippery on the upper side on a more compact ground. These conditions have confirmed the excellent performance of SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 rear and SCORPION™ MX32™ front, the tyres which allowed Pirelli to monopolize the podium in both classes with six riders aboard four different motorcycle brands.

Romain Febvre won the MXGP consolidating his top spot in the championship standings. The defending champion, that has used SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410™ 120/80-19 rear and SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front, after ending third in the first heat, has won with an unstoppable comeback, the second. A great second place belonged to Max Nagl that, unlike the winner, preferred the SCORPION MX™ 410™ 110/90-19 rear. Third place overall for rookie Tim Gajser. The Slovenian, equipped by the Pirelli tyres in same sizes as Febvre, won the opening heat and finished eighth in the last despite a fall which slowed down his pace. To crown a triumphant Grand Prix of Europe for Pirelli has arrived also the fourth place overall of Antonio Cairoli and the fifth of Jeremy Van Horebeek.

The gold laurel Pirelli hats filled the podium of the MX2 category that was won by Jeffrey Herlings. The Dutchman also reached the fiftieth Grand Prix victory of his career. Herlings, equipped by SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 110/90-19 rear and SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front, fronts the championship standings with maximum points after three rounds. Pauls Jonass, second overall, finished the race behind Herlings and just ahead of Jeremy Seewer who was excellent in third.

Victory for Pirelli also arrived in the first rounds of European Championship with Conrad Mewse (Husqvarna), prevailing in EMX250 and Yentel Martens (Husqvarna) in EMX300.

In two weeks time the riders and teams will gather again at Neuquen, in Argentina, on April 10th for the fourth appointment from eighteen on the 2016 calendar.

The ‘Suphan Buri Land Motorsport’ hosted the second round of the 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship. The brand new and technical circuit is characterized by a medium-hard base soil that added to temperatures above 40 degrees has put a strain on riders and tyres. These conditions highlighted the excellent performance of the Pirelli SCORPION™ MX32™ that allowed the Pirelli athletes to find positions at the very top of the standings. In both classes eight competitors equipped by the prestigious Milanese tyre brand finished in the top ten. A double victory in MXGP class was taken by Romain Febvre. The defending World Champion raced with SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 on the rear and also grabbed the top spot the championship standings. An excellent second place belonged to Tim Gajser that, unlike the winner, preferred the SCORPION™ MX32™ 120/90-19 rear tyre. Jeremy Van Horebeek, thanks to two good races, ended the Grand Prix on the third step of the podium. Bad luck was in store for Antonio Cairoli (fifth overall) who after finishing second in the first heat was forced to make a difficult comeback in the second due to a stall at the start. Luck also evaded Ben Townley, who was an excellent second in the final race but had to retire in race one due to a technical problem after a crash. Pirelli, with three riders aboard three different motorcycle brands, also monopolized the podium of the MX2 class that was ruled by Jeffrey Herlings. The Dutchman, equipped by SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 at the rear, took the lead of the two races right after the start and rode unhindered to the finish. Behind him Jeremy Seewer, second, confirmed his effective speed and form while Aleksandr Tonkov, third overall, was the author of a good comeback in race two. Pauls Jonass rounded out the top five of the day. In Thailand Pirelli was the tyre chosen by the majority of riders with 16 out of 23 starters in MXGP and 15 out of 29 in MX2 running the firm’s products. After completing the first two rounds of the season the riders and teams will gather at the Grand Prix of Europe, to be hosted in Valkenswaard on March 27th/28th in Holland for round three of eighteen. As is the norm since 2013 the FIM Motocross World Championship was launched with a night race in Qatar. On this occasion the track, constructed alongside the Losail road race asphalt, presented a demanding terrain with a deep watered surface and medium-soft dirt. In tricky conditions the riders equipped by Pirelli tyres were able to manage excellent results in each class. It was an amazing evening for Tim Gajser who has grabbed Grand Prix victory in MXGP class. The Slovenian, in his debut on the CRF450RW and equipped by Pirelli SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 120/90-19 rear, won both races and leads the championship standings with a perfect score. Second place went to defending champion Romain Febvre, who preferred the SCORPION™ MX32™ 110/90-19 on the rear but paid for the slight delay in his preparation for season by the arm injury suffered in the Italian 'Internazionali' Championship. Jeremy Van Horebeek was fourth overall ahead of Antonio Cairoli that, despite a long break for an injury to his ribs, rode safely showing good pace. 15 riders of the 21 of the MXGP class relied on Pirelli tyres at Losail. Pirelli dominated the MX2 class and has monopolized the first four positions of the standings. Jeffrey Herlings, who used the SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 rear, won both motos and was able to leave behind a strong Dylan Ferrandis. Following the French was Pauls Jonass, fast and careful not to make mistakes. Rounding out an excellent Pirelli day in MX2 came Jeremy Seewer with fourth place overall. Even in the MX2 class Pirelli was the tyre chosen by most of the riders with 14 equipped out of the 23 in the gate. Next weekend MXGP will head to the new Suphan Buri track in Thailand for round two. Jonathan Rea, with eleven race fast laps already achieved this year, wins the “Pirelli Best Lap Winner: Fastest Rider of the Year” award with one race still left in the Championship season

This weekend in France Turkish rider Kenan Sofuoglu on the team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Kawasaki was crowned FIM Supersport World Champion for the fourth time and Italian Lorenzo Savadori, astride the Nuova M2 Racing team Aprilia, became the new Superstock 1000 FIM Cup European Champion. In the Superbike races World Champion Jonathan Rea confirmed the superiority that earned him the title, winning both races.

The round that decided the championship titles in the eni FIM World Superbike Championship Supersport and Superstock 1000 categories was heavily influenced by weather conditions. These were the last two championships that were still open after Jonathan Rea's success in World Superbike, Toprak Razgatlioglu's in the European FIM Superstock 600 Championship and Javier Orellana's in the European Junior Cup. In fact, during the day on Saturday and throughout the night between Saturday and Sunday, the rain fell heavily on the French Magny-Cours circuit and during the day on Sunday the track took a long time to dry out, which made tyre choice in Superbike Race 1 and in the Supersport race that followed more difficult. In Race 1, given the fact that the track was still very wet even though there was no rain falling, all the riders on the grid chose to put rain tyres on both the front and rear. This choice was a gamble, because without rainfall the wet tyres run the risk of overheating and wearing sooner, but it paid off for the riders and demonstrated the excellent performance of the Pirelli DIABLO™ Rain range which, not only provided excellent performance for the entire race, but also allowed Jonathan Rea to improve to the point of achieving the race fast lap in the sixteenth lap, just as the track was drying out little by little. For the first three quarters of the race it was Tom Sykes who set the pace, followed by team mate Rea and then Guintoli, VD Mark, Baiocco, Davies and Camier. During the seventeenth lap the World Champion capitalised on a moment of hesitation by his team mate and overtook him. In the end it was Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) who crossed the wire first with a 4.7 advantage ahead of his team mate, Tom Sykes and more than 14 seconds ahead of the third place finisher, Frenchman Sylvain Guintoli (PATA Honda World Superbike Team). In the FIM Supersport World Championship the French circuit set the stage for awarding the championship title to Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing). The Turkish rider was crowned World Champion of the category for the fourth time after his 2007, 2010 and 2012 championship wreaths. In the race Sofuoglu, relying on intermediate DIABLO™ Wet tyres both on the front and rear, got off the line well straight away. Lucas Mahias (MG Competition) made the same selection, starting from the third spot on the grid, whereas pole man Patrick Jacobsen (CORE'' Motorsport Thailand) opted for DIABLO™ Supercorsa dry tyres. While Sofuoglu was leading the race, followed by Jacobsen and Kevin Wahr (SMS Racing), during the third lap the red flag came out due to engine problems for Kevin Manfredi's Honda and the race was stopped. The race was reduced to 11 laps with Sofuoglu on the grid ahead of Jacobsen and Wahr at the restart. During the first lap Jacobsen overtook the Kawasaki Turkish rider, while Mahias took back his third place spot he originally had on the starting grid. From the third lap on it was a battle between Sofuoglu and Jacobsen for the lead. In the end the American crossed the wire first but the second place finish was enough for Sofuoglu to be crowned World Champion.

With the track much drier it was slicks for everyone in Superbike Race 2. The World Champion repeated his race performance, taking the top step of the podium to make it his fourteenth win of the year out of a total of twenty-five races where the Northern Irish rider was on the podium for all except Jerez. Finishing the race behind him were Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing-Ducati SBK Team) and Rea's team mate, Tom Sykes. In the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, Lorenzo Savadori (Nuova M2 Racing) and Aprilia were crowned World Champion thanks to his eighth place finish. For the record, the race was won by Jeremy Guarnoni (Team Trasimeno), ahead of Kevin Calia (Nuova M2 Racing) and Raffaele De Rosa (Althea Racing). This was the final Superstock 1000 race of the season. Bringing up the standings behind the European Champion were Roberto Tamburini (Team MotoxRacing) in second and Raffaele De Rosa (Althea Racing) in third. On Saturday the last race of the FIM Superstock 600 European Championship season was held. In this category, at the Misano round in June Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu, on his team Kawasaki Puccetti Racing Kawasaki ZX-6R, has already been crowned European Champion in his first season in the championship. At Magny-Cours it was Spaniard Augusto Fernandez who triumphed on his PATA-Honda Junior Team Honda CBR600, crossing the wire ahead of Axel Bassani (Berclaz Racing Team) and the newly crowned 2015 European Champion. The final standings of the championship were rounded out by two Italian riders with Michael Ruben Rinaldi (San Carlo Team Italia) in second place and Federico Caricasulo (Pata-Honda Junior Team) in third. Comment from Giorgio Barbier, Pirelli Moto Racing Director: “The weekend ended on a positive note and we can consider ourselves satisfied, especially with the performance our DIABLO™ Rain tyres provided in Race 1 and in Supersport. In fact, it is well known that rain tyres are designed for optimum performance when it's raining and certainly not on a track that is drying out. Here at Magny-Cours it had rained during the day on Saturday but on Sunday morning the track was still very wet. This is definitely not an ideal situation and it made it very difficult to choose which tyres to use. The riders decided unanimously to put on wet tyres and in the end, not only did no one have any significant problems, but performance was so good that just as the track was drying out Jonathan Rea put in several very fast laps, even putting the race fast lap on the sheets in the sixteenth lap. For us this is definitely a very positive sign and we are truly pleased with this result. I must congratulate the protagonists of the day, Kenan Sofuoglu and Lorenzo Savadori, first and foremost, for earning their titles, and Jonathan Rea in Superbike, who showed that he won the championship title with full honours.” The Pirelli solutions chosen by the riders: Several solutions were used in the Superbike category throughout the weekend. In Race 1 all the riders chose DIABLO™ Rain tyres because the track was very damp despite the rain having stopped a few hours earlier. In Race 2, on the other hand, with decidedly drier asphalt, the choice naturally fell to slicks. The solutions used in this case varied, although on the front the 1699 SC1 development solution proved once again to be the favourite, whereas on the rear rider preference was split more or less equally between the standard SC0 and the SC0 T0611 development solution. In the Supersport category race which was held at 11:30 am the riders had no choice and were forced to opt primarily for rain tyres, although in this case not only were DIABLO™ Rain tyres used, but also the intermediate DIABLO™ Wet tyres and some, considering the increasingly drier track, also opted for dry solutions or for a combined dry rear and intermediate front solution.

Pirelli Best Lap Awards: The Pirelli Best Lap Awards are given to the riders who put in the fastest lap in the Superbike and Supersport races. They were presented at the Paddock Show during the press conference which follows the podium at the end of Superbike race 1 and race 2 and the Supersport race. The Superbike and Supersport rider who has earned the most “Pirelli Best Lap Awards” will be elected “Best Lap Winner: fastest rider of the year” and will be awarded during the ceremony at the end of the year. Jonathan Rea at Magny-Cours has won the award since he already won 11 Best Laps during the season, Jules Cluzel is leading the Supersport with 5 Best Laps. The last race of the FIM MXGP World Championship was held on the Californian circuit of Glen Helen; an authentic mecca of American motocross. The track with hard-pack ground and loose soil sections has seen yet more superb performance of the SCORPION™ MX32™ and has allowed Pirelli to achieve great results in both categories.

Round eighteen saw a great race for Romain Febvre in the MXGP class who, thanks two superlative motos, has won the Grand Prix to boast eight victories in an amazing season. The SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 rear allowed the French rider to own the first race and to finish second in the last outing of 2015. A bright comeback to racing was enjoyed by Antonio Cairoli after the long break due to an elbow injury. The Sicilian, with the same Pirelli selection as the winner finished the first moto in fifth position and grabbed the holeshot in the second. Motocross World Title No. 64 for Pirelli came thanks to young hotshot Tim Gajser who clinched the crown in the MX2 class. 2015 has been an excellent season for the Slovenian that, at only nineteen years old, has risen to the status of World Champion. Gajser had an advantage of 18 points over Pauls Jonass, before the Grand Prix and with Pirelli tyres SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 rear, controlled a margin over his opponent, avoided mistakes and became the first ever MX champion from Slovenia. Pauls Jonass had to settle for second place but proved that he has what it takes to be one of the protagonists for the coming years. With the close of the US Grand Prix a curtain fell over the 2015 season; one that has given Pirelli the world title in both classes. 1,500 trucks of sand and a week of hard work transformed the Assen TT Circuit, one of the ‘cathedrals’ of motor racing and also the scene of many battles in the Superbike World Championship, into a sand track that has hosted the sixteenth round of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship: the Grand Prix of The Netherlands. The track, perfectly placed in front of the grandstands with 30000 fans, proved to be spectacular and was characterized by fine and compact sand – quite hard-packed in some placed – and on which the great performance of the Pirelli SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 allowed the riders of the brand of the elongated P to hit great results in both classes. Thanks to victory in the second heat and the second place in the overall classification, Romain Febvre has become the new MXGP World Champion with two races left giving Pirelli its sixty-third world title in the Motocross World Championship. The French rider raced at Assen with SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and, unlike the other Pirelli riders, with SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 120/80-19 at the rear – to best fit his riding style. Febvre has dominated for much of the season getting the title in his debut year, a result that had only been achieved in the past by eight-time World Champion Antonio Cairoli. Third place overall went to another rookie, Glenn Coldenhoff. The Dutchman, fast and steady, made the most from the SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 110/90-19 rear. Good performances also for Max Nagl and Jeremy Van Horebeek equipped with the same Pirelli tyres as Coldenhoff and who both finished the race in sixth and seventh place overall.

Romain Febvre action

Tim Gajser has won the MX2 class and took the red plate in the championship. The young Slovenian could count on SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 110/90-19 rear to win the first race and to grab the runner-up position in the second. Second place on the day went to Max Anstie who also on this occasion preferred to rely on Pirelli. A good fifth place was secured by Jeremy Seewer who is proving to be one of the protagonists of the MX2 class and deservedly occupies fifth position in the championship. Bad luck for Pauls Jonass. After finishing right behind Gajser the first heat was forced to stop in the pit lane due a technical problem with his front brake during the second. Later he re-joined the race and made a great comeback until fourteenth place limiting the damage to just 13 points to Gajser. Excellent Pirelli results in the World Championship were also reinforced in the last round of European EMX2 series where Nick Kouwemberg clinched the 2015 title. Lommel, with its treacherous dark sand, hosted the fourteenth round of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship: the Grand Prix of Belgium. The Flemish track, located in the Limburg region and very close to the Dutch and German borders, is considered the ‘capital’ of European motocross because most of the teams have their headquarters close to the facility. Its soft base constantly changes due to the lines and wear from the racing and puts a strain on the stamina of the riders who struggle to reach the finish for fatigue. Pirelli is still leading the MXGP class with Romain Febvre who showed maturity to think about the championship picture and settled for third place overall without taking unnecessary risks. The French rider has an advantage of 84 points with four races left in the season. Rounding out a positive day for Pirelli in the premier class were home riders Kevin Strijbos and Jeremy Van Horebeek who came fifth and sixth positions overall. Antonio Cairoli, still struggling with the elbow injury, was only able to attend the race as a spectator.

Pirelli monopolized the podium in the MX2 category. All the riders equipped by Pirelli went for the SCORPION™ MX32™ 80-100/21 front and SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 110-90/19 rear that proved to be the most suitable tyres in these conditions. It was a perfect weekend for Max Anstie who won the qualifying heat and both motos. The English rider on this occasion also opted for Pirelli tyres. Second place overall went to a surprising Pauls Jonass that in his rookie year as a factory rider has also grabbed the red plate in the standings. Third place was for Bulgarian Petar Petrov, who was incredibly fast and consistent on the Belgian sand. Fifth and sixth positions belonged to Harri Kullas and Tim Gajser; the latter is still second in the standings. Good results for Pirelli were also enjoyed in the eighth round of the European Championship EMX250 which was won by Dutchman Lars Van Berkel while countryman Nick Kouwemberg consolidated his lead in the championship with only one race to run. The riders can look forward to a two-week summer break to recharge their batteries and be in perfect condition for the Grand Prix of Lombardia which will take place at "Tazio Nuvolari" circuit of Mantova on August 23^rd. Loket’s mythical  ‘Serpentine’, in the Czech Republic, hosted the thirteenth round of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship. The circuit is located near the spa town of Karlovy Vary around 120km from Prague. The hard-pack and very slippery ground highlighted the excellent performance of the SCORPION™ MX32™ that permitted Pirelli’s elite to grab excellent results in both classes.

Tixier in action

In MXGP Romain Febvre, equipped by SCORPION™  MX32™ 120/90-19 rear and 80/100-21 front, won both races and now leads the championship by 88 points over second place. It was a great comeback after a knee injury for Clement Desalle who, with the same Pirelli tyres as Fevbre, managed to finish in an encouraging third place. Right behind him in fourth was Kevin Strijbos. After trying the new front tyre especially developed by Pirelli for this type of ground in warm-up, the Belgian decided to use it also for the motos. The capabilities of the tyre have been noticed by the riders and maybe it will be absorbed into the potent range of Pirelli SCORPION™ MX32™mid-hard options. Fifth place overall went to Jeremy Van Horebeek, the only Pirelli athlete to prefer the SCORPION™ MX32™ 90/100-21 front. Sadly Antonio Cairoli - after some races in substantial pain - has opted to miss two Grands Prix to fully heal from the elbow injury that he suffered in Maggiora last month.

MX32

Pirelli did not achieve overall victory in the MX2 class but Max Anstie, equipped again with the SCORPION™ MX32™, grabbed first place in race one and Pauls Jonass and Jordi Tixier finished the GP on the second and third steps of the podium. The young Latvian registered second position overall in a Grand Prix for the second time in a row and the 2014 Champion climbed back on the ‘box’ after some unlucky races. Jeffrey Herlings has retained the lead in the championship standings but due to a hip injury he suffered in Saturday’s Qualification Heat he will probably not be able to race again this season. Next weekend the paddock will tackle the fourteenth round of the season and they will find completely different conditions to the Loket’s hard pack. The race will be hosted on the fearsome and daunting sand circuit of Lommel, Belgium.

There were extreme conditions at Kegums for the Grand Prix of Latvia and the twelfth round of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship. Heavy rain affected the track on Saturday night and forced the riders to face the motos on slick ground, upon which Pirelli SCORPION ™ MX SOFT 410 showed excellent performance in both classes with the rear tyre in 110/90 - 19 and 120/80 - 19 sizes. The final tyre selection was dictated by the feeling of the riders although the 120/80 - 19 proved to be particularly suitable for the powerful 450cc bikes that had more grip on a very slippery track but with many hard, compact zones.

It was an excellent performance by the amazing Glenn Coldenhoff who grabbed - for the first time in his career - victory in MXGP class. The Dutchman equipped with SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100 - 21 front and the SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 110/90 - 19 rear, has deservedly won the first moto and finished runner-up in the second race. Third place went to Romain Febvre who entrusted his Yamaha with a SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 120/80 - 19 on the rear. The French rider made an incredible comeback in the first heat after falling at the start and won the second outing. He has maintained control of the Red Plate and increased his lead in the standings over the heroic Antonio Cairoli, fifth overall despite not having yet recovered from the left arm he injured in Maggiora. Fourth place was taken by Kevin Strijbos who keeps hitting good results.

Coldenhoff action

Max Anstie won the Grand Prix in the MX2 class. The Brit, competed with Pirelli tyres, the SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100 - 21 front and SCORPION™ MX SOFT 410 110/90 - 19 rear, to win both motos. The same set of Pirelli tyres was also used by Pauls Jonass who made the most of home advantage by ending the race in second place. There was an excellent third place for Harri Kullas and fourth for Jeremy Seewer. Tim Gajser was fifth overall and has reduced his deficit in the championship standings to 46 behind Jeffrey Herlings. The latter could not compete in Latvia due to the left hand injury he suffered last weekend in Uddevalla. Pirelli grabbed good results also in the EMX250 European Championship thanks to the second place of Brian Hsu and the fourth position of Nick Kouwenberg. Kouwenberg is still leading the standings with only two races to go until the end of the series. After a week off, the FIM Motocross World Championship will resume its run on 25^th/26^th July in Czech Republic, on the historical “Serpentine Circuit” at Loket. Results:

The historic circuit of "Mottaccio del Balmone" hosted the ninth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship which also marked the halfway point of 2015 season. The weekend was characterized by unstable weather that, especially on Sunday, has alternated sun and showers that turned the track in a hell of mud and channels. In these particular conditions the Pirelli SCORPION™ MX32™ have proved once again to be the best performing tyres and thanks to them Pirelli riders have monopolized the podium in both categories.

In MXGP class, Romain Febvre has won again, as he did in the last Grand Prix in France. The French rider, with SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 rear, has won the opening moto and got sixth in the last after an incredible comeback. Fallen in the early laps, he rose up with the handlebars and front brake of his bike damaged. Febvre has not lost his nerve and raced to grab the overall win. SCORPION™ MX32™ for Kevin Strijbos too, second overall and winner of race 2, who preferred the120/90-19 at the rear. Third place overall for Todd Waters, equipped with the SCORPION™ MX32™ in the same sizes of Strijbos. Rounding out the triumphant day for Pirelli in MXGP class also came the fourth and fifth place of David Philippaerts and Jeremy Van Horebeek. Max Nagl, seventh overall, took to thirty points his lead in the standings, over Antonio Cairoli. The Sicilian was the only rider to use the SCORPION™ MX32™ MUD, but due to the arm injury that he suffered in qualifying race he closed the race in thirteenth position. The injury sustained by Clement Desalle in France did not allow the Belgian rider to join the race.

Pirelli has been unrivaled also in the MX2 class which was won by Tim Gajser. SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 rear for him, for Jeffrey Herlings, second, and Jeremy Seewer, third. A great show for the eighth round of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship that was held at the beautiful circuit of Villars sous Ecot. The French track hosted a Grand Prix for the first time after a break of more than twenty years. With a very hard-packed surface and characterized by fast climbs and drops the course put a strain on tyres but even in these difficult conditions riders equipped with Pirelli have grabbed victories and good results in both classes.

MXGP saw a fantastic victory for Romain Febvre that - thanks to the SCORPION MX™ 32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 at the rear – gave the Frenchman the great satisfaction of winning his first Grand Prix in the premier class in front of his home crowd. In his rookie year in MXGP, the French rider won the second moto by more than three seconds over Max Nagl and walked the top step of the podium thanks to the second position he captured in the first race. Third place overall went to Antonio Cairoli. Like his opponent in the fight for the title - Max Nagl – Cairoli ran the new prototype front tyre developed by Pirelli in 80/100-21 dimensions. The new rubber combined with the SCORPION™ MX32™ 120/90-19 on the rear showed some excellent performance on the difficult French course. Nagl, fourth overall and equipped with the same Pirelli tyres as Cairoli, continues to lead the championship with 19 points on the eight-times world champion. A decent fifth place was taken by Dean Ferris. Bad luck for Clement Desalle who was forced to withdraw from the Grand Prix due to a shoulder injury he suffered during Saturday’s practice. After two races without a victory, Jeffrey Herlings returned to dominate the MX2 class. The Dutch rider, with the SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 at the rear, won both races. Herlings fronts the MX2 championship by more than 100 points. Tim Gajser and Jordi Tixier, equipped with the same Pirelli tyres as the winner, finished race day with the same score but the Slovenian rider was runner-up thanks to his second moto ranking. Pauls Jonass, fourth overall, was in decent form. Pirelli was the dominant tyre in the MX2 class with nine riders in the top ten of the Grand Prix of France equipped with the SCORPION™ MX32™. Cairoli action

In the MXGP class Antonio Cairoli repeated his victory of two weeks ago in Spain and grabbed for the sixth time in his career a Grand Prix win in the UK. The eight-time world champion entrusted his 450SX-F to SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and, for the first time, the 120/90-19 at the rear; a size certainly more suited to the power of the 450. The Sicilian won the first heat and then managed a good comeback in race two to get third place finish after a harmless crash in the early laps. Two second places and second overall for Clement Desalle, equipped as Cairoli with the SCORPION™ MX32™, but the strong Belgian rider chose a different size, 110/90-19, at the rear. Romain Febvre brought Pirelli again on the third step of the podium and with a sweep of all three positions. The Frenchman - with the same combination as Desalle – made a good comeback in the first race to seventh and then won the second moto for his first triumph in the MXGP class. SCORPION™ MX32™ was in place for Max Nagl too and the German was fifth overall at the British Grand Prix and is still leading the championship standings four points ahead of Desalle. In the MX2 class Jeffrey Herlings scored the same points as winner Valentin Guillod but had to settle for second place due to the ranking in the second race. The Dutchman, equipped by SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 at the rear, has extended his lead in the championship to 92 points and keeps firm hold of the red plate. Yet another podium - the fourth from the last four races - for reigning champion Jordi Tixier who was third overall and is sixth in the championship standing. Pauls Jonass grabbed a great fourth place overall and is deservedly occupying third position in the championship in his rookie season.

As expected it was a hot weekend at Talavera de la Reina for the sixth round of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship. The Spanish circuit, with its uphills and downhills and a consistent and grippy soil is located in the center of the Iberian Peninsula in the province of Toledo and hosted, for the second year in a row, the Grand Prix of Spain. With excellent performances, Pirelli’s riders monopolized the podium in MXGP class and grabbed strong results in MX2.

Talavera witnessed the first win of the season for Antonio Cairoli in MXGP who opted to use KTM 450SX-F for this Grand Prix instead of his usual title-winning 350. With the ‘bigger’ bike, equipped with Pirelli SCORPION™ MX32™ in 80/100-21 for the front and in 120/ 80-19 at the rear, the Sicilian wrapped a near-perfect weekend despite the lingering effects of a left hand injury sustained in the Netherlands two weeks ago. First in practice and in the qualification heat he earned third place in the first heat and won the second. Max Nagl, that faced the race with the prototype Pirelli tyre that helped him to victory in Arco, keeps the lead in the championship. In Spain Nagl scored the same points as Cairoli but he finished second due to his ranking of third place in the second moto. It was an amazing race for Romain Febvre. The Frenchman was third overall and selected the same Pirelli tyres as Cairoli. He walked the podium for the very first time in his career in MXGP. Clement Desalle, who is entrusted to SCORPION MX™ 32™, took fourth place overall but he keeps second position in the championship standings.

Pirelli missed out on victory in MX2 but Jeffrey Herlings, winner of Race 1, finished in second place despite a spectacular crash in the second race - luckily without injury - that forced him to a difficult but very strong comeback charge. The Dutchman, who opted for the SCORPION MX™ 32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 at the rear, is still in control of the MX2 contest by some 56 points. Third place went to Jordi Tixier, who has scaled the podium for the last three Grand Prix in a row. Tim Gajser tried hard to win the second moto but had to settle for second place, finishing the Grand Prix in fourth overall.

Great results for Pirelli in the European Championship too. Team Jtech’s Nick Kouwemberg leads the standings after three rounds in the EMX250 class. The FIM Motocross World Championship will pause next weekend and will resume its run on May 23^th-24^th from Matterley Basin for the British Grand Prix, round seven of the 2015 calendar.

MXGP stopped in Valkenswaard and the Dutch Brabant region of Holland for round five of eighteen in the FIM Motocross World Championship and the Grand Prix of Europe. The sunshine and spring weather of a week ago in Arco di Trento (Italy) were but a memory in the nice Dutch city that for most of the weekend remained covered by dark clouds and chilled by temperatures below fifteen degrees. The ‘Eurocircuit’ of Valkenswaard has a long Grand Prix tradition and has a soft sandy surface that digs deep during the races and is physically demanding for the riders. In the MXGP class Pirelli riders - thanks to the excellent performance of SCORPION MX™ 32™ in sizes 80/100-21 for the front tyre and of the new SCORPION MX™ 410™ in sizes 120/80-19 for the rear - finished second and third in the Grand Prix. The latest addition to the Pirelli range was the ideal tyre for the hard and compact sand of the Dutch track and was the favourite for the 450 riders for stability and also power transfer and traction to the ground. Max Nagl continued his great form by finishing in second place and taking the lead in the championship. The German rider claimed two second positions in the motos and now has four podiums and three victories so far this term. Third place overall went to Clement Desalle who had to pass the red plate to Nagl but follows the leader with a deficit of only five points. It was a difficult day for Antonio Cairoli, the only rider to opt for the SCORPION MX™ 410™ 110/90-19 at the rear, who was forced to retire in the first heat due a bad fall.

In the MX2 class the SCORPION MX™ 32™ 80/100-21 front and SCORPION MX™ 410™ 110/90-19 at the rear allowed Pirelli riders to grab the first three steps of the podium. Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings was peerless in both races and won by a healthy distance. Behind him was a great battle for the other podium spots. 2014 MX2 World Champion Jordi Tixier eventually claimed the ranking as runner-up and a consistent Aleksandr Tonkov was third overall. Seventh place went to Dylan Ferrandis, who was docked ten positions after an incident with Pauls Jonass. He keeps the second position in the championship. Great result in the second round of the EMX250 European series for Team JTech’s rider Nick Kouwemberg who grabbed second place overall and took the same position in the nine-round EMX250 competition. Pietramurata’s "Il Ciclamino" circuit hosted the fourth round of the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship, which marked the return to Europe after the flyaways of Qatar, Thailand and Mexico. The spectacular track - perfectly nestled between the steep mountain walls of the dolomites in upper Garda (Trentino) - features hard and stony ground that offers very little grip. On this stage Pirelli debuted a new front prototype tyre that was used successfully in sizes 80/100-21 for both races by the MXGP Grand Prix winner Max Nagl. The new tyre performed slightly better on this occasion than the SCORPION™ MX32™ however due to Tony Cairoli finishing second and Clement Desalle third the model also demonstrated its excellent consistency and capability. On the rear of the Red Bull KTM Cairoli used a SCORPION™ MX32™ with dimensions of 110/90-19 while the other top riders opted for the 120/90-19; the most popular choice for this type of track. Pirelli also dominated the MX2 class that was won by Tim Gajser, for the HRC rider’s the very first Grand Prix triumph. The young Slovenian was equipped with SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and 110/90-19 on the rear. The same choice of tyres was selected by runner-up Jeffrey Herlings who notched the same amount of points as Gajser but had to settle for second overall due to the second moto ranking (1-2 compared to Gajser’s 2-1). Jordi Tixier finished in third place ahead of his team-mate Dylan Ferrandis. Arco di Trento hosted the first round of the European 125 and EMX250 championships, which saw 14 and 15 riders in each class respectively line up with Pirelli tyres. Next stop is Valkenswaard in the Netherlands.

After twenty years the FIM Motocross World Championship returned to Argentina. The third round of 2015 was held in Villa La Angostura, Patagonia, in the area of the Seven Lakes, a beautiful natural reserve at the foot of the Cordilleras Andes near the Argentina-Chile border. Breathtaking views, perfect weather and an audience of over twenty thousand fans were the backdrop to the spectacular Argentine circuit characterized by unusual sandy ground that caused the top riders to choose different types of Pirelli tyres. In the MXGP class Maximilian Nagl, equipped by Pirelli SCORPION™ Soft 410 110/90 - 19 at the rear and the SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100 - 21 front, repeated his success achieved in the season-opening Grand Prix of Qatar. The German rider finished third in the first moto and won the second after a good comeback. Second place went to championship leader Clement Desalle who preferred the SCORPION™ Soft 410 120/80 19 rear and, despite having achieved the same points as the winner, finished behind Nagl due to the second moto ranking. Third place, just one point from the leaders, was Antonio Cairoli who used the same Pirelli tyres as Nagl and is equal on points with the German rider in second place in the championship, just 10 behind provisional leader Desalle. Rounding out the positive day of Pirelli representatives in MXGP came the sixth overall of Jeremy Van Horebeek. Pirelli also ruled the MX2 class that was won by Dylan Ferrandis. The Kawasaki racer grabbed first position thanks to SCORPION™ Soft 410 110/90 - 19 rear and SCORPION MX32™ 80/100 - 21 front. A different choice was taken by Pauls Jonass, second overall, who went for SCORPION MX32™ MUD 110/90 - 19 at the rear and reached another podium placement after the one he achieved in Thailand. Great third spot for Jeremy Seewer who, like Jonass, elected for the SCORPION MX32™ MUD 110/90  - 19. Bad luck for former world champion Jeffrey Herlings who was forced to retire in the first moto due to a blameless crash but thanks to the victory in the second moto keeps the red plate in the championship. In Superbike the record of the longest running control tyre in motorsport history at international level with the supply of all classes, running continuously for 12 years

The racing activity as a technological platform for innovation and development of its product range as a benefit to all motorcyclists

A few hours before the start of the Formula One season in which Pirelli is Official Tyre Supplier, the Italian tyre company held in Melbourne, Australia, a Motosport press conference to tell its commitment in four and two wheel racing activity and to illustrate the international and national competitions which will participate in the 2015 season. Regarding the motorcycle competition Pirelli also in 2015 is engaged in various international and national championships both on track and off road, reflecting the strong sporting DNA that historically characterises the Italian tyre brand. In two wheel competition Pirelli’s season kicked off on January 3 in Anaheim, United States, with the first event on the calendar of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross a FIM World Championship, to continue over the weekend of February 20 to 22 with the season debut at Phillip Island, Australia, of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship and then the first two rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Qatar on February 28 and in Thailand last weekend. This year, the Italian tyre company will follow, in some cases as Sole Official Tyre Supplier and others in open tyre competition, some of the most relevant motorcycle events at international and national level. These include the eni FIM Superbike World Championship, the FIM Motocross World Championship, the FIM Endurance World Championship, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross an FIM World Championship, the MCE British Superbike Championship, the Italian Championship, the IDM German Championship and the French Superbike Championship, to name a few. The strong commitment of the brand in the International and local competitions cannot be justified only by the important results in terms of media exposure and brand awareness increase but also from the technological point of view: for Pirelli competitions are in fact an open-air laboratory for developing and testing its tyres with some of the best riders in circulation, the same ones that are then put on the market and made available to all riders in the world. Eni FIM Superbike World Championship The eni FIM Superbike World Championship is the most important example of how racing activity represents the Italian tyre brand a privileged platform for research and development. Pirelli is the Sole Official Tyre Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship since 2004 and, thanks to the renewal agreement signed last September with Dorna, the promoter of the Championship, it will be until 2018. Pirelli has been present in factory derivative racing right from the start of the Championship at the end of the 1980s but with the 2015 season it will be 12 consecutive years that the Milanese company has been sole supplier of tyres This is a unique situation which gives the brand the record of longest running, and consequently the most successful, control-tyre supplier in the history of motorsports at the international level. This was made possible thanks first of all to the collaborative and constructive approach that Pirelli has always had with Dorna, the International Motorcycling Federation, and with all the teams and riders, but also because of the constant development work carried out during these years. Unlike other championships in which prototype tyres are used, since the beginning the philosophy of Pirelli has been to design, with the help of riders, racing products which could also be used by all motorcyclists. Hence the now famous motto "We sell what we race, we race what we sell" and the birth of the DIABLO™ range with historic tyres as the DIABLO™ Superbike, used in the premier class, and the DIABLO™ Supercorsa SC, used in Supersport, Superstock 1000, Superstock 600 and European Junior Cup, which have for years been the undisputed market leaders.

FIM Motocross World Championship From the track to off road, the dedication and the working methods of Pirelli do not change: the Italian tyre company is one of the Official Supplier of tyres for the FIM Motocross World Championship, promoted by Youthstream, and can boast a record of 62 world titles. These have been obtained with strictly standard products on sale on the market, those of the line SCORPION MX™ which include the winning SCORPION™ MX32™, which over the years have been able to outperform other competitors and are most appreciated by the off-road enthusiast riders. Also this year the SCORPION™ MX tyres will support many of the participant riders including the 8 times World Champion Tony Cairoli, two-time MX2 champion Jeffrey Herlings, besides Clement Desalle, Jordi Tixier, Tommy Searle, Jeremy Van Horebeek and many others. First, the MCE British Superbike Championship of which Pirelli is Sole Tyre Supplier for all classes since 2008, Ducati 848 TriOptions Cup included. The riders of the British National Championship will be on track for the first round at DoningtonPark on 4-6 April. Pirelli is confirmed in the role of Sole Tyre Supplier also in the Supersport class of the Italian Championship (CIV), in the Pirelli Superbike 600 of the French Superbike, in the Brasilian Superbike Series, South African Stock Cup 1000, in the Superbike Series of Malaysia and Philippines, the R125 Cup in Holland and the 250 Taiwanese Cup, just to name a few. Open tyre national championships The Italian tyre company is not afraid of the competitors and over the years has also been successful in ‘open’ tyre national championships. Among the main local competitions in which it participates are the IDM (German National Championship), the France Superbike FSBK (French National Championship), the CIV (Italian Championship) in addition to the Belgian, Czech, Polish, Austrian, Cypriot, Finnish, Dutch, Spanish, Bulgarian, Romanian, Serbian and New Zealand championships. Pirelli is also present in the Alpe Adria and the East European Championships. Pirelli has won 24 titles in total last season in open tyre national championships in Superbike, Supersport and Superstock classes. European pedigree but with an eye toward the east Pirelli is an Italian brand with strong roots in Europe but it has always pursued a policy of growth and development at the international level that has led it to be present in 160 countries in the world with nearly 40,000 employees. With this in mind, and considering the international economic scenario, the Asia Pacific area has become for the Italian tyre company more and more an important market. This explains why, with regard to moto activity, the presence in the local racing activities is more important than ever: in addition to the aforementioned Australian Championships SX1 Supercross and MX1 Motocross that Pirelli dominated for two consecutive years, Pirelli will still be engaged as Official Unique Supplier for the Superbike Series in Malaysia and the Philippines. Not only that, thanks to the constant dialogue with Dorna, for the second year, the brand will be the Main Event Sponsor of the Malaysian round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship and for the first time the Championship will arrive in Thailand, the country where Pirelli will race also with the FIM Motocross World Championship. In Japan Pirelli will create the Pirelli Cup 600 Challenge Series to promote the growth of the young talents of the Japanese motorcycling. Even from a commercial and distribution point of view, after the opening in 2012 of a plant for the production of motorcycle tyres in China, in the industrial district of Yanzhou, Pirelli during the year will usher in Indonesia, following an agreement signed in Jakarta with the company Pt Astra Otoparts, its fourth factory for motorcycle tyres. The new plant at full capacity, expected in 2016, will contribute with worldwide motorcycle tyre production of Pirelli with about 7 million pieces. Riders can choose to feel for a day as the champions of the World in an International motorcycle series and ride in those circuits where every weekend they see their heroes competing. "

A week after launching in the desert of Qatar, the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship moved into the heart of the Asian continent for the second round of eighteen; the Grand Prix of Thailand. After the first two editions - hosted at Si Racha - the race moved to the new location of Nakhonchaisri; a tortuous track characterized by supercross-style obstacles and built inside the area of the ‘Thailand Circuit’ which is a rudimentary road race facility about forty kilometres from Bangkok.

The second motos on the race programme were reduced in duration by five minutes due to high temperatures and humidity. Pirelli riders chose Pirelli SCORPION™ MX 32™, 80/100-21 front and 110 / 90-19 rear for the hard and rutty terrain.

In the MXGP class Clement Desalle has risen to the top of the championship standings. The Belgian rider was second in both races for the same rank in the overall classification. Third place went to Tony Cairoli. The eight times World Champion was fifth in the opening moto then scored a first win of the year in the second. Cairoli slips into second position in the championship just nine points from Desalle. An excellent performance was unveiled by Yamaha’s Romain Febvre in Thailand as he finished fourth for an impressive beginning to his rookie year in MXGP. Fifth position overall went to Kevin Strijbos. Pirelli dominated the MX2 class thanks to Jeffrey Herlings who won both races; exactly as he did in Qatar one week ago. Herlings ran without rival and leads the standings with maximum points: a perfect 100. A strong runner-up position belonged to Latvian Pauls Jonass for a first podium of his career. Third and fourth places overall fell to Team Kawasaki CLS riders, Dylan Ferrandis and Thomas Covington respectively. In the magical night of Qatar the FIM Motocross World Championship launched for the first round of eighteen in the 2015 MXGP campaign. The powerful floodlights of the Losail circuit bathed for the third consecutive year the start of series played out on a difficult and particular track where the Pirelli SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and SCORPION™ MX32™ 110/90-19 rear tyres enhanced the quality of the champions on show. Such as Tony Cairoli, fighting this year for his ninth title, or the young talent Jeffrey Herlings, already a two-time winner; Jordi Tixier, reigning MX2 champion; and David Philippaerts, titled in 2008 and returning this year to Pirelli. It was Max Nagl however who climbed to the top step of the podium, scoring both ‘holeshots’ with Pirelli and winning the two races and Clement Desalle, steering his Suzuki with aplomb, finishing as runner-up.

Nagl was prolific on his debut as a factory Husqvarna rider. The German, fourth in qualifying, unveiled two perfect races leading every lap from start to finish. Second place overall went to Desalle and fourth, tied on points with third, was Antonio Cairoli. Jeremy Van Horebeek brought his Yamaha home in fifth position. Jeffrey Herlings returned to dominate the MX2 category after the serious injury to his femur that he suffered in 2014. The Dutch rider won the qualification heat and then both races on Saturday night. Third place was obtained by Dylan Ferrandis in front of Tim Gajser and Aleksander Tonkov. After the first race of the season, the World Championship ‘circus’ will move to Thailand in the new location of Nakhonchaisri, located forty kilometers from the capital Bangkok. The 2014 international motocross racing season closed its doors with yet more success for Pirelli SCORPION MX32™ tyres thanks to podium presence at the 68th edition of the biggest race of the year, featuring 34 countries and 120 riders. 45 of the athletes chosen to represent their flags used Pirelli products including Australian and former AMA Supercross and Motocross Champion Chad Reed. Kegums is located around fifty kilometres from the capital city of Riga and is characterised by a shallow sandy terrain but with a hard base that meant it was a surface for the SCORPION™ MX MidSoft 32F front and rear but also the MX MidSoft 32 Mud and MidSoft 410 according to personal preference. Victory belonged to Team France for the second time and CLS Kawasaki’s Dylan Ferrandis played an important part by classifying third overall in the MX2 division. The French crew defeated the Belgians by ten points. The 2013 Champions could count on the superb ride and victory (for the first time at the Nations) by Kevin Strijbos, but the Suzuki star was only ninth in the second moto after a crash caused him to lose time. Also part of the Belgian line-up was 2014 MXGP runner-up Jeremy Van Horebeek. Great Britain was unlucky to miss the podium and finished fourth largely thanks to the MX2 category win by Tommy Searle. Team Italy could only finish sixth at the end of the day and were hindered by Antonio Cairoli’s fall in the first moto that meant he had to retire with a painful knee. The second moto was a tall order for the MXGP Champion (back on a 250 for the first time since 2008) as he could only ride to 19th. Together with a 7th for Davide Guarneri in the category and 9th for David Philippaerts the Italians were able to beat the Germans by just one point. One more success arrived for Pirelli SCORPION MX32™ in what was the final round of the 2014 FIM Motocross World Championship played out over the hard-pack of Leon in Mexico and in front of 30,000 spectators across the seventeenth and last fixture of the season. The MX2 title dispute went down to the wire with defending number one Jeffrey Herlings holding a 23 point lead over team-mate Jordi Tixier and opting to return early from a broken femur after only eight weeks. Herlings ran Pirelli SCORPION™ MX and decided only two days before the Grand Prix that he would try to confirm a third crown despite missing the previous three rounds and clearly in pain and unfit. The Dutchman gave it his best shot but his weak leg could not stand up to the punishment of the long jumps and he could only register 14th and 10th positions. The onus was then on the Frenchman. Jordi Tixier competed with SCORPION™ MX MidSoft 32F front and rear, like all other Pirelli riders, and claimed the championship with his second overall GP win thanks to victory and 3rd position on the day. In an excellent second place was revelation of the season, Tim Gajser, who owned the chequered flag in the second moto (for the second time in a week after his first in Brazil) used a 110/85-19 compound and also confirmed fifth place in the championship behind Frenchman Dylan Ferrandis who opted for a 120/80-19 rear tyre in Mexico as did Davide Guarneri in the MXGP class. In the premier category Antonio Cairoli was competing fresh after toasting his eighth world championship the previous week in Goias and scored 3rd place in the first moto and was runner-up in the second race. Behind the Sicilian were other Pirelli riders: Kevin Strijbos, Jeremy Van Horebeek, Tommy Searle and Davide Guarneri. Cairoli also fronted the 2014 championship standings ahead of another three Pirelli racers in the forms of Van Horebeek, Strijbos and Clement Desalle respectively. The motocross season will finish on 28th September when the best athletes and a host of Grand Prix teams travel to Kegums in Latvia for the Motocross of Nations.

The long run to the MXGP title in the FIM Motocross World Championship this year for Antonio Cairoli was completed with third position overall at the Grand Prix of Goias and the Sicilian had cause to celebrate - as he did four years ago in Brazil - by claiming his sixth consecutive championship in the premier class of the FIM series. Cairoli now has eight crowns in just twelve seasons of GP racing and helped notch a 61st FIM accolade for the Pirelli SCORPION MX32™ tyre. In Brazil the third step of the podium was enough to seal the deal through a campaign that has included 9 wins and 13 podiums from 16 events. Across the dark red clay that also carried a softer top layer of soil, Cairoli elected to use Pirelli SCORPION™ MX MidSoft 32F front and rear on the works KTM – a selection chosen by the rest of the Pirelli elite – and defended a cushion in the MXGP standings of 81 points coming to Trindade over nearest rival Jeremy Van Horebeek. The Yamaha rider crashed on Saturday and injured his right ankle, which made the job easier for the reigning number one. The Belgian rode conservatively to 13th position in the first moto, which was just enough to secure the points necessary to confirm his status as number two in 2014. He decided to sit out the second moto and will have the injury evaluated before making a decision for the final round in Mexico. In the Brazilian classification Tommy Searle was fifth overall and followed by Kevin Strijbos in sixth, who managed to make sure of third place in the championship partly thanks to the continuing absence of Suzuki team-mate Clement Desalle due to a wrist injury. Pirelli SCORPION MX32™ was present on the podium in MX2 class with Frenchman Dylan Ferrandis who decided to run dimensions of 120/80-19 and scored second ahead of another Pirelli representative, Tim Gajser; the Slovenian won the second moto and saw the chequered flag for the first time in his career with the help of a 110/85-19 size. KTM’s Jordi Tixier was fourth. Tixier must bag at least 24 points in the final Grand Prix of the season in Mexico if defending champion and MX2 points leader Jeffrey Herlings does not recover from his broken femur in time to fly to South America.

Pirelli is mathematically World Champion in the MXGP and MX2 classes of the FIM Motocross World Championship thanks to the service offered to its riders by SCORPION™ MX32 tyres. Thanks to these two latest successes, the Italian tyre company has now won 62 world titles in the FIM Motocross World Championship in the last 35 years. With two rounds still to go and only 100 points still up for grabs, in MXGP the battle is between Antonio Cairoli, already 7 times World Champion, and Jeremy Van Horebeek who, with a gap of 81 points is still, at least mathematically, fighting for the title. The MX2 contenders for the World Cup are two other Pirelli riders: Jeffrey Herlings, who is not competing at the moment due to injury but is doing everything possible to return for the final event of the season in Mexico, and his KTM teammate Jordi Tixier, who currently sits 57 points behind the Dutch rider. In the European Motocross Championship, Suzuki’s Brian Hsu has secured the 125 title, British rider Steven Clarke the 250 and official TM rider Samuele Bernardini the 350. All three riders used the Pirelli SCORPION MX™ tyres. Some of the hardest and toughest terrain on the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar was conquered in MXGP by Antonio Cairoli, who took a step closer to confirming an eighth world title in Belgium. He now stands on the threshold of six titles in a row, capable of achieving this feat in the next round in Brazil on September 7th. Running SCORPION™ MX MidSoft 32F front and Soft 410 rear - a popular choice for virtually all the Pirelli racers at Lommel - the works KTM rider ran away with both motos. He also had to battle adversity that included a heavy rain shower in the last five minutes of the second race as well as some arm-pump during the first. With just two rounds of the 2014 campaign remaining, the Sicilian rider lies 81 points ahead of Yamaha’s Jeremy Van Horebeek; the Belgian landed heavily from a quad jump and cut his left eye (requiring three stitches). Just one week after taking victory in the Czech Republic, Lommel represented the worst race of the season for ‘89’ as he classified eighth. Second place overall went to Cairoli’s KTM team-mate Ken De Dycker, who rode to his best result of 2014 in what has been a tricky and injured-affected term. Fifth overall was countryman Kevin Strijbos as the Belgian lacked the power and rhythm to trouble the podium order on this occasion. With reigning champion and current points leader Jeffrey Herlings a spectator and nursing a recently operated left femur the MX2 title race is likely to go down to the final round as KTM team-mate Jordi Tixier classified an important second overall in Belgium. The Frenchman has sliced Herlings’ advantage to 57 points with 100 still left to win. Third place in MX2 went to Dylan Ferrandis, while Honda’s Tim Gajser could do not better than fifth.

A ‘photocopy’ of the Grand Prix of Sweden for Antonio Cairoli as the Sicilian clocked his 72nd career victory with his fifth double success of the season. Racing with the SCORPION™ MX MidSoft 32F front and Soft 410 like the other Pirelli riders across the shallow and hard sand of Hyvinkää, the seven time World Champion stamped his authority over both motos in Finland by leading from the first corners until the last and has now constructed a 62 lead in the standings of the premier class with just four rounds remaining. Factory Suzuki rider Clement Desalle missed the thirteenth round of seventeen after still suffering pain and discomfort in the wake of his crash at the Grand Prix of Sweden the previous week. Yamaha’s Jeremy Van Horebeek was a protagonist again in Finland with second position in the first moto but then fell in the second and had to recover to tenth spot for fourth overall. Belgian pride was upheld by Suzuki’s Kevin Strijbos who classified third on the podium despite poor starts and some physical problems. Thanks to his twelfth win of the season and continued dominance and speed in the MX2 category Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings is on the verge of his third consecutive title and only needs six points more than Jordi Tixier at the next round of the series to reconfirm his status as world number one. Cutting the Finnish sand so devastatingly on his works KTM, Herlings classified ahead of four other Pirelli riders: Slovenian HRC racer Tim Gajser, team-mate Jordi Tixier (who was in pain after a heavy Qualification Heat crash on Saturday), Dylan Ferrandis and Christophe Charlier. Using Pirelli SCORPION™ MX MidSoft 32F front and Soft 410 rear was leading contender in the European EMX300, Samuele Bernardini, who was victorious again. Triumph in EMX250 belonged to Brian Bogers. The Dutch youngster closed the gap in the championship standings to just 11 points behind another Pirelli runner Steven Clarke. Round fourteen of the FIM Motocross World Championship will take place on 27th July across the difficult hard-pack of Loket for the Grand Prix of Czech Republic.
