Diablo range, three new type approvals

2012 brings further success for the Diablo family of motorcycle tyres. Let us begin with the new Triumph Speed Triple R that will be fitted with Diablo Supercorsa SP, the Pirelli tyres originating directly from the SC (Special Compound) version. Sizes are 120/70 ZR17 for fronts and 190/55 ZR17 for rears in order to offer racing performance with all the benefits of road use. The Schiranna manufacturer’s flagship, the new MV Agusta F3, aims to become the ne plus ultra of the 600 class and will have Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa supersport tyres as the original equipment fitment in sizes 120/70 ZR17 for fronts and 180/55 ZR17 for rears. Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa are the most versatile supersport tyres for road and track use by both naked and faired motorcycles. The new Ducati supersport bike, the 1199 Panigale, will shortly be available with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP (Sport Production) tyres fitted as standard. The latest additions to the Diablo family are fitted to the Italian red fury in sizes 120/70 ZR17 for fronts and 200/55 ZR17 for rears and as of this year the SC version will also be used exclusively by Superstock 1000 FIM Cup riders. The launch of the 1199 Panigale featured a test rider extraordinaire: the three times World Superbike Champion, Troy Bayliss, who commented «Simply excellent tyres. If the SP version won me over with the fluid neutrality that accompanies each manoeuvre, even the most extreme ones, the SC2 compound version brought me back to an absolute total racing feel.
