Excellent results for Pirelli in the grand finale of the "Internazionali d’Italia of Motocross" 2016

Pirelli won the MX1 class with Jeremy Van Horebeek

For the second year in a row the Ottabiano's “South Milan Circuit” has hosted the third and final round of the "Internazionali d'Italia di Motocross" 2016. The sandy soil, wet by rain, and deep ruts of the Lombard track have enhanced the features of SCORPION™ MX32™ and SCORPION™ MX Soft 410 that in these conditions helped Pirelli riders to hit good results in every class. Jeremy Van Horebeek, author of a great race, took the victory in the MX1 class. The strong Belgian, with Pirelli SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and SCORPION™ MX Soft 410 110/90-19 at the rear, finished in first place also in the MX1 championship standing overall. The good results in MX1 have been confirmed by the third place of Max Nagl and fifth of Glenn Coldenhoff. Nagl, the German rider, finished in third place in the championship. Samuele Bernardini has been unlucky in the MX2 class, only ninth overall due to a crash. The Italian rider, riding with the SCORPION™ MX32™ 80/100-21 front and SCORPION™ MX Soft 410 110/90-19 at the rear, has still finished second in the championship standings. Simone Zecchina, fifth overall, was the best-placed rider in the race for Pirelli. Pirelli has missed only the victory in Elite class, but placed four riders in the top five of the day. Bad luck for Jeremy Van Horebeek that after struggling for first place throughout the whole race, was forced to slow down in the last laps due to some sand that slipped inside of his glasses. Behind the Belgian arrived Max Nagl, Tim Gajser and Glenn Coldenohff. Van Horebeek and Nagl have also grabbed the second and third place in the Elite championship. On the same day, great absolute victory for SCORPION™ MX32™ tyres with Jeffrey Herlings (KTM) in the classic pre-season french race of Valence. As the curtain fell down on the "International of Italy" among fans is warming up the wait for the first round of the Motocross World Championship which will be held at Losail circuit, Qatar, next February 27th Results: MX1 1.
