FIA GT 2004: third consecutive pole position for Saleen Pirelli

Here in Hockenheim another confirm for the great potentialities of the Saleen PZero equipped of Konrad Motorsport team in the day dedicated to the qualifying. The third consecutive pole on four races of the 2004 championship, this time made from the #4 car of Lechner jr. and Konrad not penalized from the ballast that instead weights down that of Bartels and Alzen, strengthens up the dominant position of the American car. The competition is found just behind the Saleen Pirelli equipped but without being able to give enough rise to put them in difficulty, also finding itself on a circuit not suitable to the characteristics of the Saleen. Still a confirmation for the Ferrari 360 with the Pirelli PZero covers of the GPC Squadra Corse team that also without finding the exploit for the pole position it succeeds to contain the opposing Porsches. The Ferrari 575 GTC of the GPC Squadra Corse team, also not marking a useful time for the pole position, has confirmed a good equilibrium working in function of the race. 1 GT Lechner Jr/Seiler Saleen S7 1:37.132 2 GT Bartels/Alzen Saleen S7 1:37.187 3 GT Wendlinger/Wolf Ferrari 575 1:37.229 4 GT Bobbi/Gardel Ferrari 550 1:37.805 9 GT Peter/Babini Ferrari 575 1:38.376 14 GT Naspetti/Hezemans Ferrari 575 1:39.022 17 NGT Ortelli/Collard Porsche 996 GT3-RS 1:42.579 18 NGT Maassen/Luhr Porsche 996 GT3-RS 1:42.310 19 NGT Pescatori/De Simone Ferrari 360 Modena 1:50.660
