FIA GT Championship

Barcelona, April 4th , 2003 - Saturday 5th April and Sunday 6th, the first race of the 2003 FIA GT Championship will take place at the Barcelona (Montmel) circuit.

Force One Racing Festina Carsport, with his Chrysler Viper GT S and JMB Racing are the two front- runner teams in the GT category fitted with Pirelli PZero tyres.
JMB Racing, one of the best team also in the N-GT category last season and winner of the 2001 N-GT Championship, will be in Barcelona with two Ferrari 360 Modena cars. In the 2003 Championship the French team intends to enter two Ferrari 550 Maranello cars in the GT class for the first half of the season, and then, for the second half, these cars will be replaced by two Ferrari 575 Maranello. The german team RWS Yukos Motorsport, with his Porche 996 GT3-RS, after a good 2002 season is ready to compete at the maximum levels on the tracks of the new championship with Pirelli PZero.

Pirelli, present here on the circuit with about 1000 tyres, is ready to provide at all of his teams the latest versions of the PZero, to face every weather condition on the Barcelona's circuit.
As usual, three different PZero tread are available for the GT Championship, for dry, damp and wet asphalt, even if, for this first race, the weather forecast expects dry conditions and normal temperatures.
