FIA GT: Pirelli victory at Donington Park!

Another great week end for Pirelli, that has seen once again optimal performances obtained from the Saleen P Zero equipped: the best time obtained in the free practice, the pole conquered by Walter Lechner Jr. with wet track and a victory, after the nr 17 JMB Racing Ferrari 575 car has been awarded a five-minute penalty for breaking parc ferm regulations. All these results are the confirmation that the Konrad - Vitaphone team cars offer always great performances and form a great binomial with the Pirelli P Zero tyres of last generation. An accident caused from a bad mistake of Luhr, on Porsche, at the last lap has not prevented the obtaining of the victory, because since 15 minutes Bartels was leading the race after a great recovery: the Konrad Vitaphone team has endured an easy to avoid accident. The Alzen confirmation, regarding of the recovery and the accident: "Thanks to Pirelli once again in order to have us allowed a double stint with the rubbers, very consistent for all the race, while the incident that was avoidable, has been a serious mistake of Luhr that we hope does will not repeat again". The second step of the podium has been gained by Babini and Peter, drivers of the Ferrari 575 Pirelli equipped of the GPC Squadra Corse team. These drivers unfortunately have lost more than 20 second in the first pit stop arriving slowly to the box because problems at the fuel feeding: the delay accumulated, although the double stint with the same tyres, therefore it has not allowed a direct comparison with the 575 of the competition, sending back the confrontation to the race of Spa. Third position for Bobbi and Gardel on Ferrari 550 of the Scuderia Italia team. In NGT class, one-party Porsche podium with Ortelli on the first position, while De Simone and Pescatori with their Ferrari 360, also for a contact had in race with the Wendlinger's Ferrari, have had difficulty to express themselves during the race.
