FIA GT: second round

Saturday 26th April and Sunday 27th, the second race of the 2003 FIA GT Championship will take place in France, at the Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit. This is the fourth visit of the FIA GT Championship to this modern circuit - known for its low adherence in the past years - in the centre of France, which hosts the French Formula One Grand Prix every year. For this year, however, the circuit will be new to everyone, as work has gone on during winter, redesigning the final chicane, which should now be an additional overtaking place. On the 4411 m. of the new track, teams and drivers will give battle in order to confirm or to turn out the results obtained during the first contest of Barcelona. In the GT category, BMS Scuderia Italia team with Thomas Biagi and Matteo Bobbi is the actual classification leader. In the N-GT category, Pirelli is the leader with JMB Racing's Ferrari 360 Modena and with his drivers Andrea Bertolini and Fabrizio De Simone: the ambitious target is to achieve the third consecutive win in Magny-Cours. Pirelli will be present at the Magny-Cours Circuit with PZero racing tyres necessary to provide his GT and N-GT teams, with three different PZero tread: for dry, damp (in this version, during last winter test sessions, it obtained the best results) or wet asphalt. Weather conditions in this part of France are very unforeseeable, and this is another important factor for the race result.
