First tranche of Olimpia capital increase fully subscribed
Milan, 18 December 2003 - Olimpia SpA informs that all
Company's shareholders fully subscribed pro-quota the first tranche
- for an amount of 700 million Euros - of the
capital increase of up to 770 million Euros, at
par value, in two separate tranches approved last 13
November.
The first tranche was used, as already announced to the market, to purchase 295.75 million Telecom Italia ordinary shares at a unit price of 2.37 euros made available by Mediobanca, following the agreement signed on 5 November.
After this operation, the shareholding of Olimpia SpA in Telecom Italia SpA ordinary capital increases to approx. 17.01% from 14.16%.
The second tranche, for an amount of 70 million Euros, when it will be subscribed and paid, will be used to subscribe Olimpia's quota (19.99%) in Holinvest 342.7 million euros capital increase, which was approved on 14 November and could be completed by 15 January 2004.
