Maserati Trofeo starts

Barcelona, april 4, 2003 - After two years of researches and tests on cars and tyres with the direct participation of Pirelli's engineers, Sunday 6th April, with a great curiosity, the first race of the Maserati Trofeo 2003 will take place at the Barcelona (Montmel) circuit.

Twenty six Maserati Trofeo - which are derived from the Maserati Coupe production model - and with drivers coming from many different countries, will be on the starting grid to get revived the old partnership between Pirelli and Maserati, which had a long and successful history, with the new one, signed in autumn 2002.

Pirelli will provide at all the cars the latest versions of the PZero in the only two tread versions permitted by the race rules, for dry or wet asphalt, ready to face every weather condition on the Barcelona's circuit.
