More new developments from Pirelli

With the expectation of a long hot race in the Spanish sun, Pirelli has brought to Jarama another new specification race tyre for the Viper teams of Carsport Holland and Belmondo.
The major initiative is in the compound, designed to maintain even in hot conditions the consistency of performance over time, the feature that has so far this season been the winning card of the Pirelli teams.

The race will surely hold a lot of interest, with the times in the Super Pole not necessarily being representative of the results over a race distance. Both the Hezemans and Belmondo Vipers are expected to be right on the pace, Hezemans in particular hoping for better luck than in Brno when, after building up an enormous lead, lost the race due to a broken wheel.

Also in NGT interest is high, both between the relative performance of Ferrari and Porsche, and between the Pirelli runners and the non Pirelli runners. The balance so far this season has worked out with Pirelli and Ferrari dominating, that situation being broken for the first time at the last race in Brno.
