With Salvatore Pennisi, we go and find out about Pirelli Moto's outdoor testing, a critical area for the development of new motorcycle tyres. Comfort, wet and dry performance, speed, strength, noise, reliability and so on, are all tested throughout the year on Italian tracks at Vizzola Ticino (Varese), Racalmuto (Agrigento), Pergusa (Enna) and Siracusa as well as at testing facilities in Nardò, Puglia and Sumaré, Brazil. The Moto Test team is made up of great enthusiasts. For the most part, the team of engineers, riders and testers are active in competitive track and off-road activities. Technicians specialised in electronics also round up the group, along with logistics personnel who help organise test activities.
