MV Agusta chooses Diablo™ Supercorsa SP

MV Agusta has chosen the new Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The historic Italian motorcycle manufacturer will use them as the original equipment fitment for the standard R and RR versions of the 2013 F4 range in the sizes 120/70 ZR17 for front and 200/55 ZR17 for rear. This consolidates the close relationship between the two Italian manufacturers who are appreciated throughout the world. Diablo Supercorsa SP (Sport Production) makes the most of the racing experience that Pirelli has acquired as sole supplier to the World Superbike Championship (WSBK). So much so that it offers comparable performance to racing products, despite being designed for road use. More specifically, the rear profile is about 4 mm higher at the centre diameter and 2 mm wider than the 190/55 version, thus ensuring greater support when braking and a more intuitive and precise ride, offering improved directional stability. EPT (Enhanced Patch Technology) technology means that the Diablo Supercorsa SP’s 200/55 rear tyre uses 23% more soft compound in the shoulder area, guaranteeing that there is already a high grip level at mid-lean angle. Meanwhile, the state-of-the-art polymers provide fast warm-up and continuous grip for all temperature conditions, road surfaces and uses. The rear tyre utilises a Pirelli patented high-modulus fibre casing developed for the WSBK offering improved resistance to the stress caused by aggressive cornering or violent acceleration when leaning.
