New Diablo Rosso II is the ultimate sport tyre of the Rosso Generation for absolute road use, now in Bi-Compound and Personalisable

World Premiere of Diablo Rosso II to commence EICMA gala at Villa Borromeo on November 2nd with prestigious guests Checa and Cairoli In a worldwide preview and on occasion of the 68th EICMA International Motorcycle Show, Pirelli Moto introduces the Diablo Rosso II, the new reference supersport road tyre from the Italian group. The Rosso Generation premium radial tyre line utilizes modern technologies drawn from Pirelli's WSBK experience, such as EPT and specific groove design, along with attractive styling elements like sidewall and shoulder identification and the option to personalize with unique labels. The initial canvas of Rosso Generation comes from the road-worthy sport performances of the original Diablo; the Rosso name added to represent the Italian passion for racing and its associated technology. Rosso Generation is made up of the new Diablo Rosso II and its trackday counterpart, the Diablo Rosso Corsa, a tyre whose strength is dry grip and track performance. Pirelli will open EICMA's evening gala with the product preview, attended by World Superbike ace Carlos Checa of Althea Ducati and World Motocross MX1 Champion Tony Cairoli of KTM Factory, who will be on hand to comment on the exciting world championships they raced in and won using Pirelli Tyres. NEW DIABLO ROSSO II Diablo Rosso II is the ultimate sport tyre of the Rosso Generation for absolute road use. Filled with technology developed by Pirelli during its seven years in the Superbike World Championship, Diablo Rosso II is the ideal evolution of Diablo Rosso and replaces its predecessor and inherits all the sporty identity, whilst at the same time emphasizing and improving versatility, wet performance and regularity of wear. Diablo Rosso II raises the bar of the Rosso Generation's sport capabilities in respect to road use and is destined for Supersport and Naked bikes that demand top performance and riding safety in all types of use, from twisty countryside roads to city traffic and under both wet and dry conditions. Diablo Rosso II now features a Bi-Compound tread spread between a grip compound on the shoulder (25%) and wet/mileage compound on the center (75%) of the rear tyre. Grip is enhanced even further by EPT (Enhanced Patch Technology) developed in the WSBK experience which optimises contact area with the road at all lean angles. This contact patch area maximization is due in part to an ICS (Integrated Contour Shaping), complimenting modern bikes' handling and power delivery by ideally mapping tyre profiles; resulting in strong improvements in stability, performance in the wet and safety in corners. The tyre's FGD (Functional Groove Design) restyled tread pattern contributes to improved wear regularity and offers a land/sea ratio 2% more surface contact for greater confidence in the dry and an increased transfer of power to the ground.
