Pirelli also wins the Antibes race with Tom Pieri in the FIA-EHRC

Pirelli's dominance continues in the 2026 FIA European Historic Rally Championship. After two hat-tricks in the first two races in Costa Brava, with victory for Jari-Matti Latvala, and in Costa Smeralda, with success for Angelo Lombardo, the Milan-based company brought victory in the 2026 Rallye d'Antibes - Côte d'Azur Historic, the third round of the season, to French driver Tom Pieri, at the wheel of a BMW M3 E30 from the Mats team, the leading specialist in the preparation of BMW M3 E30 rally cars, all fitted with Pirelli tyres.

The French driver dominated the rally from the very first of the 12 special stages, also thanks to the contribution of the P7 Classic range in its various versions. The medium-compound D5 version made the difference on the shorter stages, while on the longer stages, characterised by abrasive asphalt, the new evolution of the hard-compound D3D version, making its debut in the Côte d'Azur rally, proved decisive for its durability. The same performance was enjoyed by Polish driver Maciej Lubiak, who finished third in a Porsche 911 Carrera.

"Winning is always a great source of satisfaction," commented Terenzio Testoni, Pirelli's Rally Activity Manager, "but in the case of historic rallies the satisfaction is even greater, because we have built this position of predominance over time, with passion and perseverance, developing our range year after year. Next week the appointment will be in Sweden for the European Rally Championship, where we have started the season in a very encouraging way."
