Milan, 4th March 2008. Ecology and performance, safety and sporting spirit, dream cars and cars that let you sleep at night, the P Zero Collection and the new Cinturato. Pirelli heads to the 78th Geneva Motor Show as an undispute protagonist in the Swiss event and a point of reference for the global automotive industry. Not solely in the high-end market with the P Zero products that will equip the show's most eagerly awaited new models and prototypes, but also in the mid-range sector in which the new Cinturato launched last January in Milan will be presented and already chosen by the major carmakers as original equipment for numerous models. The Pirelli stand will also have a sporting theme, with the Milan-based firm this year involved on a number of fronts, in particular as sole supplier to the World Rally Championship and the Grand-AM series. Pirelli's motorsport commitments will be illustrated by the Citroën C4 WRC driven by World Champion Sebastian Loeb who, together with Daniel Sordo, will be a guest of honour on the Pirelli stand. The French champion's car will be equipped with all the tyres developed by Pirelli for the 2008 World Rally Championship, the P Zero, the Sottozero and the Scorpion, the names of which deliberately coincide with their road-going counterparts in order to underline the close and on going relationship between, sport, research and production characterising Pirelli products.

The P Zero family equips the stars of the show Pirelli is a protagonist throughout the Geneva Show, above all on the stands of the manufacturers of supercars and the most prestigious models, with particular attention being paid to the concept cars. This is the case with Aston Martin that has chosen Geneva to present its new V12 Vantage RS concept equipped with Pirelli P Zero tyres and Seat that is presenting a new protoype. The P Zero has also been chosen for the Pagani Zonda F, the car that last November set a new Fastest Lap record at the Nürburgring. There are great expectations for the new Lamborghini Gallardo that will be shod with high performance Pirelli tyres and for the new Jaguar.
The new Alfa Romeo 8C Spider will also be fitted with P Zeros, as will the Saab 9-3 Black Turbo, the eagerly awaited Lancia Delta and the new 500 Abarth. As per tradition, the P Zero among others will feature on the cars from Ferrari, Maserati and Bentley and the high performance models from the major manufacturers.

Ecology and performance, the return of the Cinturato. While the P Zero Collection is dominating the supercar scene, the new Cinturato, the tyre developed by Pirelli to satisfy the demand for sustainable mobility, will be at the forefront of the mid-range segment and on the Pirelli stand largely dedicated to the theme of ecology. The new Pirelli Cinturato responds to three prequisites: eco-compatibility, savings in terms of costs and energy and safety. The new family of tyres is described on the Pirelli Tyre web site, accessible from the stand in order to provide the public with immediate access to all the innovations, with a wealth of multimedia content, interactive games, safety information and sections focusing on correct tyre use.
