Milan , 16 June 2006 - Pirelli & C. SpA wishes to announce the sale of a 15.26% stake in F.C. Internazionale SpA to the latters majority shareholder for 13.5 million euro.

This operation is part of a programme, approved by the Board of Directors on 14 February 2006, of focusing Pirelli & C. on its core business through the disposal of non-strategic financial holdings.

Pirelli & C. SpA will remain, however, a shareholder of F.C. Internazionale with a 4.2% stake. The Company intends to continue its relationship as sponsor of F.C Internazionale SpA and will also consider any new opportunities for cooperation, given the significant benefits that the partnership has given the Pirelli brand in these years.
