Pirelli exclusive supplier for the new Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

Milan, 9 June 2006 - Pirelli wishes to announce that it has been chosen as the original equipment supplier for the new Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. The latest model presented by Lamborghini in fact debuts on the market equipped exclusively with the ultra-high-performance Pirelli PZero Corsa System tyres.

The ultra-low-profile PZero Corsa System tyres derive from the company's competition experience and are designed for use on both road and track. Offering extreme performance, they provide ultimate roadholding through curves and elevated acceleration and braking capabilities to guarantee optimum performance in both wet and dry conditions even on the track.

Homologated with sizes 245/35 R18 for the Direzionale model at the front and 335/30 R18 for the Asimmetrico model at the rear, these tyres meet the performance demands of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.

This latest homologation is further confirmation of the important technological partnership linking Pirelli with Lamborghini, whose cars are exclusively equipped with tyres from the ultra-high-performance PZero range.
