Pirelli on the podium at Brno thanks to Ruberti and Malucelli

The third place in GT2 achieved at Brno by the BMS-Scuderia Italia Ferrari 430 GTC is the latest strong result achieved by the combination of the Italian team and Pirelli. Nonetheless, a big opportunity was missed when the PZero Racing-equipped Saleen of Kumpen-Longin - which started from the second row of the grid - was eliminated in a first-lap pile-up.

Brno (CZ), 14 September 2008 - A strong fightback from the BMS-cuderia Italia Ferrari 430 GTC of Ruberti-Malucelli allowed Pirelli to rack up another podium finish today. Before the start though Pirelli's expectations were considerably higher, as the PeKa Racing Saleen S7-R of Kumpen-Longin had set the third-fastest time overall in qualifying on its PZero Racing tyres.
