Pirelli premium tyres at Geneva Motor Show

P ZERO AND CINTURATO P7 THE PREFERRED TYRES FOR THE PRESTIGE CARS AT THE 82ND EDITION OF THE MOTOR SHOW

Pirelli’s premium technology is in the spotlight at the 82nd edition of the Geneva Motor Show, which will be featuring some of the most eagerly anticipated cars – such as the most powerful Ferrari ever, the new Berlinetta F12, the Aston Martin Zagato, and the Bentley V8 – all on display sporting P Zero tyres. In addition to the P Zero family, which is again the preferred tyre of the best cars at this motor show, other Pirelli lines will also be on stage for the industry’s most important exhibition, including Cinturato, Scorpion and Winter, both at the Pirelli stand and featured in the stands of some of the event’s most prestigious car manufacturers, such as Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes, Porsche and Volkswagen. All eyes will also be on the P Zero Silver, the latest addition to the P Zero family and a tyre that takes advantage of Formula One technologies and design techniques, developed for high-end saloon cars and coupés, from the Audi A5 to the Mercedes CLS. PIRELLI PREMIUM. Pirelli’s business strategy remains focused on the premium segment, which is the market segment with the highest rates of growth throughout the world, from mature markets such as those in Europe, which remains the largest market for high-end tyres, to rapidly growing economies. Pirelli research focuses on creating innovative solutions to sustainable mobility, which is at the heart of the company’s premium strategy. All of Pirelli’s families of tyres and the company’s high-tech systems such as Cyber Tyre, which, by interacting with a car’s electronics, ensure vehicle stability and proper tyre maintenance, are based on the concept of sustainable mobility, which means safety, comfort and respect for the environment. The premium segment includes the families P Zero, Cinturato and Scorpion, and the lines of winter tyres. P ZERO. P Zero Corsa System is the most sporty of the P Zero road tyres and has been developed by Pirelli together with a number of car manufacturers for use on some of the most extreme cars. The Corsa System is designed for road use, but is also excellent on the track. In 2010, Pirelli introduced the new P Zero Corsa System, which unites the evolution of the previous directional system with the new P Zero Corsa Asymmetric 2 in order to enhance both performance and safety. The P Zero Corsa is provided as original equipment on supercars from Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, McClaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche GT and is available in rim sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches. P Zero Trofeo is the ultra-low racing tyre designed for the track but homologated for the road as well. P Zero Trofeo is the most extreme evolution of the tyre for race fans and takes advantage of the most innovative technologies derived from motorsports. It has been designed in particular for the amateur “gentlemen drivers” who race on tracks throughout the world. The P Zero Trofeo is great for dry tracks and for the high temperatures that racing requires. The tyres are available for rim sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches. P Zero is the flagship product of the family that dominates the high-end segment, where Pirelli is a leader worldwide. One of the most technologically advanced products to come out of Pirelli Research, the P Zero has consolidated its position of leadership in the high-end segment by obtaining more than 250 homologations. Manufacturers are choosing P Zero tyres to support and exalt the performance of some of the most extreme supercars and to ensure the utmost in customer satisfaction and driving safety. The P Zero comes in some 130 sizes, with aspect ratios ranging from 50 to 25 and rim sizes ranging from 17 to 21 inches. P Zero Silver is the first road tyre to come out of Formula One and is the latest addition to the P Zero family. Developed for sport and coupé saloon cars, the P Zero Silver is the first in a series of highly specialised Pirelli tyres that will ensure the highest performance levels mile after mile. The Silver shares the same process of calculation and modelling used in Formula One, thereby ensuring the P Zero’s performance and exalting tyre life. P Zero Silver will be available in 11 sizes for 19" and 20" rims, with a limited edition being available in Europe beginning in April 2012. The P Zero and P Zero Corsa System are homologated on the sportiest models presented in Geneva: as well as the Ferraris, Maseratis, McLarens, Lamborghinis and the high performance Audi, Bmwand Mercedes models, there are also the new Porsche 911 Carrera and Boxster, the Bentley GTC and V8, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, and the new Lotus Exige-S and Evora-GT.
