Pirelli Pzero Racing-Equipped cars make clear progress in Bucharest

The Pirelli-equipped contenders all showed themselves to be extremely competitive this weekend on the tight and twisty street circuit that runs around the Romanian parliament building in Bucharest. The Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari came unstuck in the first race but then went on to claim fourth place in the second race. The PeKa Racing Saleen also put in a strong performance, finishing fourth in today's GT1 encounter.

Bucharest, 24 August 2008 -
Pirelli came close to winning the first of the two races held this weekend at Bucharest, thanks to the Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari 430 GTC. The two races in Romania's capital city, which made up round six of the FIA GT Championship, saw the Scottish car and its PZero Racing tyres close in on the lead the GT2 class, before an unexpected bump on the road caused the Ferrari to spin with Jamie Davies at the wheel.
