Pirelli sponsor of IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship

Pirelli strengthens its role of winter leading player through commitment in winter sports. After sponsoring the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships, the company has been involved in another appointment with winter related events.  Pirelli was official sponsor of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, which took place in Cologne and Paris from 5-21 May and will be partner of the Ice Hockey World Championship for the next four years, until 2021. The Ice Hockey World Championship enriches Pirelli’s winter sports sponsorship portfolio and adds strength to the consumer Communication Strategy. Pirelli chooses to talk through sports with which it shares important values such as power, control, dedication but also cutting edge technology used to reach challenging goals. Pirelli is also partner of the Italian and Swiss Ski federations and will be Official Sponsor of the FIS Ski Championships that will be held in Are, Sweden (in 2019) and Cortina, Italy (in 2021): both of which will feature Pirelli’s distinctive red and yellow colours – as was the case in St Moritz this year.
