Pirelli still unbeatable in the second round of “Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross” in Malagrotta, Rome

Antonio Cairoli wins again in MX1 and Elite class. Jorge Prado is third but is still on top of the MX2 championship standings

Seven days after the start in Riola Sardo, the second round of "Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross 2017" was held in Malagrotta. On the medium-hard soil of the track located near Rome, all the riders equipped by Pirelli have used the excellent  SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front and rear, the winning tyres in the MX1 and MX2 classes allowing to have a great show with the top riders of the MXGP World Championship in the Elite class. In MX1 class the victory belongs again to Antonio Cairoli. The Sicilian, after scoring the fastest time in qualifying practice, has took the lead in the first lap and kept it, with a good advantage over the others, until the finish line. Good race also for Jeremy Van Horebeek, fast and costant in these first seasonal races. To cap an excellent day for Pirelli in MX1 came also the third place of Tim Gajser, the fourth of Romain Febvre and the fifth of Evgeny Bobryshev. Great results for Pirelli also in the MX2 class thanks to Jorge Prado that, with a third place, leads the standings when only one race remains at the end of the championship.

Spectacular race in the Elite class, with another victory by Antonio Cairoli in front of Jeremy Van Horebeek, second, and Romain Febvre, third. Glenn Coldenhoff and Tim Gajser closed a Pirelli branded top five in the overall standings. In Hawkstone Park, England, on the same day of Malagrotta, was held another international race and the MX1 victory belonged to Max Nagl, with teammate Max Anstie also showing excellent performances. In the MX2 class clear victory fo Pauls Jonass. The three riders used the SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front and SCORPION™ MX Soft rear.
