Pirelli to fit new Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

PIRELLI TO FIT NEW MODELS FROM BENTLEY, FERRARI AND LAMBORGHINI IN GENEVA

Milan, March 10, 2005 - Pirelli fitted the most important new models from Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, Saab, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Ford, presented at the 75th Geneva International Motorshow. Pirelli also equipped in preview with the Scorpion All Terrain 22'' the new concept car designed from Giugiaro in collaboration with Mitsubishi, the SUV Coup "Nessie".

The Pirelli presence on the new models of the most prestigious cars brands worldwide confirms the company's positive growth trend on the original equipment sector in Europe and United States as well as its positioning on the higher segments of the market.

For Tyres Sector 2004 was the best year in the last decade in terms of profitability: revenues amounted to approximately 3,250 million Euros with an increase at comparable conditions of 11.5%, operating income was approximately 275 million Euros, with a ROS, Return on Sales, of 8.5%.

More particularly, in Europe Pirelli confirms its leadership in the High Performance, Ultra High Performance and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) segments.

2005 will represents for Pirelli not only a year of further growth in the original equipment segment but also an important year for the innovation activities in which the company's research into "intelligent" tyres will reach concrete conclusions.

2005 will see the start of a series of products that will revolutionise the concept of the tyre, which will become a more active product than ever before, able to communicate with the ca and driver.
