Pirelli Tyre: from November new prices for Car, Suv, Van and Truck tyres in Europe

Milan, 24 October 2007 - Pirelli Tyre, following the increase of raw materials and energy costs, announces an average increase of 3.5% in prices to commercial intermediaries for car, SUV, van and industrial vehicle tyres of all its brands. The increase for car, SUV and van tyres will start from 1 November in Italy and Spain and will extend to the other European markets by year end, while the increase for truck tyres will start from 1 December in Italy and extend progressively to the other European markets by the beginning of 2008.

At the same time, in Italy, Pirelli Tyre will reduce by 25% the suggested reference prices on the price list applied by dealers to final customers for summer car, SUV and van tyres, and, from January 2008, those for winter tyres. The aim of this reduction is to ensure a transparent price positioning to Italian customers and align the domestic market with the major European markets.
