Pirelli Wins Out West...and Down Under! Pirelli-Shod Essex Racing Scores fourth Podium in five Races

Laguna Seca, Calif., Sept. 7, 2003 - For the fourth time in the last five races, the Atlanta-based Essex Racing team drove their Lola B2K/40/Nissan to an American Le Mans Series (ALMS) podium finishing in second place at the Monterey Sports Car Championships today. Team regular Jason Workman was joined by Scott Bradley from nearby San Jose. Essex Racing is now six points short of second place in class for the season.
In the GT class, PK Sports' Robin Liddell from Scotland had his best result of the season finishing fourth in his #60 Pirelli-shod Porsche. Liddell was joined by ex-F1 driver Alex Caffi from Monaco.

Eighth round of the ALMS is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, at the Grand Prix Americas through the streets of Miami. Speed Channel will televise the 2-hour, 45- minute race beginning at 4 p.m. (EDT); Eurosport will provide same-day coverage in Europe.

OLYMPIA, Wash., Sept. 7, 2003 - The Pirelli-shod Subaru Rally Team USA walked away with the top two positions in round eight of the 2003 SCCA ProRally Championship at the Wild West International Rally. Finns Pasi Hagstrom and co-driver Marko Taskinen won overall in their first race on U.S. soil while Subaru regular driver Ramana Lagemann and co-driver Michael Orr finished second.

AUSTRALIA, Sept. 7, 2003 - Down under, Petter Solberg of Team Subaru won the eighth round of the FIA World Rally Championship moving him into second place in the 2003 Drivers' Championship.
