Bookings open for Old School Racing powered by Pirelli & Yamaha, the exclusive track riding school organized by the ex-World Champion Alex Gramigni in collaboration with Promoracing, which for 2019 foresees a total of eight days of riding classes at the iconic Mugello International Circuit.

Pirelli and Yamaha will guarantee the best support for the school also for this season by making available the Yamaha YZF-R1s and the Pirelli DIABLO™ Superbike race slick tyres in SC3 compoundwhich will be used by participants. To complete the technical package there is Alex Gramigni’s qualified teaching methods, focused on the riding fundamentals that allowed Old School Racing to establish itself over the years as the benchmark in the track riding school arena.

Each participant is followed step by step directly by Alex Gramigni and, just to allow this, the number of participants admitted for each day cannot exceed six, which makes the school more exclusive than other offerings.
The course lasts one and a half days, with arrival in the late afternoon of the first day for a first theory lesson introduction followed by a second day dedicated to theory alternated with practice on the track.
First of all, Alex Gramigni assesses the correct position on the bike of the participants and then offers them useful advice on how to improve their riding style on track by putting into practice the suggestions and directions received, using the Pirelli-fitted Yamahas on the Mugello circuit. Participants can gradually refine their riding style also thanks to the use of video material shot by the on-board camera which is used during the debriefing at the end of each track session.
The course registration fee is €1500 including VAT and guarantees each participant the use of Yamaha motorcycles and Pirelli tyres as well fuel, the sessions costs, lunch on track and photography.

The package offered by Yamaha and Pirelli is perfect to take full advantage of what is proposed during the school.
Packed with YZR-M1 MotoGP technology, a crossplane engine, short wheelbase chassis and high-tech electronics, the YZF-R1 is a bike born for the track. The YZF-R1s which are part of the Old School racing fleet are also made available with the Yamaha Communication Control Unit (CCU) with wireless remapping capabilities. This system allows participants to log their track sessions and download and upload data from their bike.
The SC3 compound of Pirelli DIABLO™ Superbike slick tyreswas developed by Pirelli in the FIM Superbike and Endurance World Championships and is a very versatile and perfect solution for running sessions on the track.
