The collaboration between Pirelli and Yamaha continues with partnership of the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp for the fifth edition

Pirelli DIABLO™ Supercorsa tyres were confirmed as the fitment for the YZF-R3 used for the training sessions at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli to which 5 emerging talents from the international scene will take part

Pirelli is confirmed by Yamaha as tyre supplier for the fifth edition of the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp, the track training sessions organised by the Iwata based company together with Valentino Rossi's VR46 Riders Academy.

The Pirelli DIABLO™ Supercorsa tyres, in 110/70 ZR 17 front SC1 compound and 140/70 ZR17 rear SC2 compound, have been confirmed as the equipment for all the YZF-R3 machines. These are ridden by the young talents from the international motorcycling panorama identified by Yamaha to participate in these training sessions together with the riders of the VR46 Riders Academy.

The DIABLO™ Supercorsa tyres are the same ones used by Pirelli in the WorldSSP300 class of the FIM Superbike World Championship, in which the Japanese company participates promoting the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Challenge, a competition organised to support the young riders of the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship, to grow and have the chance to become Yamaha supported riders in the major classes.

The fifth edition of Yamaha VR46 Master Camp will take place from 27 to 31 July 2018 and the five riders selected by Yamaha to participate in this stage are the Brazilians Eliton Kawakami (17) and Bruno César (18), Americans Jackson Blackmon (16) and Cory Ventura (16) and Thai rider Keminth Kubo (18).

In addition to the sessions at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli riding the Yamaha YZF-R3 on Pirelli tyres, the five riders selected for this edition of the Master Camp will also train at the Valentino Rossi’s Motor Ranch and at the Misanino KCE World Circuit "Marco Simoncelli” and will be able to use the structure of the Fisio Gym. Alongside them, throughout the week of training, there will be first of all Valentino Rossi but also Marco Belli, Flat Track Champion (three times British Champion, two times European and American Champ), fitness trainer Carlo Casabianca and of course all the riders of the VR46 Riders Academy .

The confirmation by Yamaha of Pirelli as supplier for the motorcycles used in the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp further strengthens the existing partnership between Pirelli and Yamaha both in racing and marketing activities and is a clear recognition of the excellent qualities offered by the tyres developed by the Italian company thanks to their long participation in the FIM Superbike World Championship.
