World ice-driving speed record with Winter Sottozero Serie II

Finland’s four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen drove a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea at 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h). He registered a new world speed record on ice. The Bentley Continental was equipped with the Pirelli SottoZero II tyres. Kankkunen faced in his record attempt temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees, sudden snow blizzards and potentially dangerous crosswinds on the 10.3 mile track on a 27-inch thick layer of sea ice.
