24 HOURS OF NURBURGRING, PIRELLI PARTNER OF TOP TEAMS AND MANUFACTURERS

Some of the leading racing teams have chosen the P zero range for the challenge of the "Green Hell"

“P lunga” supplies the latest generation of tyres to Dinamic's Porsche and Dörr's Aston Martin. Collaborations also with BMW and HRT and Snitzeralm's Mercedes

Braga: "For us it is an opportunity to validate new solutions to be proposed in GT racing".

Pirelli is returning to the Nurburgring - one of the tracks most frequently used by the Milan-based company as a testing ground for tyre development - for the 24 Hours as the technology partner of some of the most competitive teams: Dinamic and Dörr. The Porsche and Aston Martin (SP-9 class) of the two teams will be equipped with new-generation Pirelli P Zero dry and wet tyres. For the dry the compounds available will mainly be the medium in its soft and hard variants, while for the wet they will be able to count on the wet version, specifically developed to adapt to the unpredictable weather conditions of the circuit.

The same tyres, which follow the evolution of the GT cars, will also be used by the special crew of experienced journalists, who will race in the SP-10 class under the banner of BMW M Motorport, and the Mercedes of the HRT and Snitzeralm teams in GT2, as well as numerous other drivers.

Matteo Braga, Track Racing Manager Pirelli: "Once again this year, the Nurburgring 24 Hours will be the testing ground for our range of products intended for GT3 cars. After all, there is no more challenging context than this to validate new solutions, all the more so if you have the chance to go out on track in partnership with top teams and in top cars. We expect a race that, as usual, will be tough, to be tackled with the right tyre strategy to maximise every moment of the race".
