Pirelli P Zero Corsa System

PRESS RELEASE

PIRELLI P ZERO CORSA SYSTEM
NOW AVAILABLE ON THE
ASTON MARTIN'S V8 VANTAGE

Milan, 30th November 2006. The Pirelli P Zero Corsa System has been approved by the British manufacturer Aston Martin as a Sports Tyre option on the 2007 MY V8 Vantage.

The V8 Vantage is a hand-crafted sports car that offers electrifying performance and outstanding agility. The most affordable of all Aston Martins, it fuses traditional Aston Martin style and everyday usability. The result is one of the world's most desirable sports cars.

P Zero Corsa System for the V8 Vantage consists of two tyres with different tread patterns working in unison - Direzionale front and Asimmetrico rear - ideal for use on both road and track. A highly technical concept to enhance not only performance but also styling.

Whilst the engineering qualities of the system - total grip when cornering, accelerating and braking - stand out in extreme use on both road and track, the synergy developed by the action of the two different tread designs is accentuated in wet driving. With its ultra-efficient lateral water expulsion capacity, the Direzionale prepares the road surface for the Asimmetrico, allowing it to maximise grip, and thus, driver safety.

As a result of collaboration between Aston Martin and Pirelli the 2007MY V8 Vantage is now available with the 'Sports Tyre' option consisting of 245/40 ZR19 fronts and 285/35 ZR19 rears.

The V8 Vantage has a powerful 4.3 litre 283 kW (380 bhp) engine designed and built by Aston Martin for Aston Martin. Developed for flexibility as well as outright performance, the front mid-mounted V8 also delivers an outstanding aural experience, as one would expect of an Aston Martin with a potential maximum speed of 280 km/h (175 mph).
