Pirelli still winning in the Motocross Grand Prix of Germany at Teutschenthal

Tim Gajser wins the MXGP class and extends his world Championship lead as Jorge Prado is also unstoppable in MX2

The second half of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship began at Teutschenthal’s Talkessel circuit: home of the Grand Prix of Germany and the tenth round of the season. Due to rain that had fallen in the days leading up to the race, the German track was deep and soft during the weekend before drying and becoming particularly technical and demanding. To tackle the deep ruts present on the track, Pirelli-equipped riders were able to count on the excellent performance of the SCORPION™ MX32™ Mid Soft front and rear that allowed the Italian brand to win in MXGPMX2 and in the EMX250 European Championship

In the MXGP class Tim Gajser made the most of Antonio Cairoli's absence due to injury to extend his lead in the championship standings. Thanks to the double victory in Teutschenthal, the Slovenian pushed his advantage to 83 points over the nine times world champion. Jeremy Seewer, despite a crash at the start of race two that forced him to a difficult comeback, was able to finish fifth overall and to maintain third place in the championship.

Jorge Prado was dominant in the MX2 class once more. The strong Spaniard won the qualifying heat and both races by a comfortable distance. Behind him were some fantastic performances by rookies Tom Vialle, second overall and now fourth in the standings, and Mathys Boisrame, who was third and finished on a GP podium for the first time in his career. A good fourth position (with the same points as Boisrame) was had by Thomas Kjer Olsen who beat Henry Jacobi.

Stephen Rubini took overall victory in the sixth round of the EMX250 European Championship with a double moto win. Thanks to today's result the Frenchman still owns the Red Plate. Roan Van De Moosdijk walked the second step of the podium and occupies third position in the standings.

After three races in a row the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship will take a break next weekend. In two weeks time the riders will tackle the Grand Prix of Indonesia that will be hosted by a new circuit at Palembang.
